I knew I was a fan on that Peter interview when Keith said he stays away from following the news. The world we be a better place for sure if more people did that. I wonder how nutra would be smoked or jerky? I love smoking with totally rotted red alder in my neck of the woods, so great for salmon, also good for birds.

@@datlouisianalife Nutria jerky has a pretty good ring to it! The way you described the texture makes me think might be good, sugary, salty , dried. Id send you a box of rotted red alder for smoking if you want.

Do yall ever use chicken livers to catch catfish the blood drives them crazy if you run out of livers dip the blood in cotton balls they will bite it you can also catch catfish catfish and brim using ivory soap many thanks great video

Just found your channel. I lived in Houma and Raceland, dad had a camp in Cochadrie and Dulac. I worked out of Houma on a supply boat and welded in Morgan City back in the early eighty's .Ain't no fishing as good as down there.
I lived in Houma my whole life. I'm sure we've crossed paths at some point. You right about the fishing! 🎣
@@datlouisianalife Im from Northwest of St Augustine FL and went to Louisiana in 1980 to work offshore. My dad and uncle ran the PittGrill in Thibadaux. I worked for Luke Construction, then Hughes Drilling Fluids docked at Munson Slip in Houma. About 83 the oilfields declined and boat got mothballed so I came on home. Crazy bars open 24 hours a day, lived behind the Satellite back in the day could hear music all night at my little house. I need to get back down there and check out some of my old haunts I'm sure it's changed alot though. Also lived on LA 1 in Matthews not far from Adams Market. Good times.

We can;t say Whorstershire sauce either, so we call it Rooster Sauce.
Use the nutria livers for catfish bait, I worked in my wife's grandfathers fur shed and people would come from New Orleans to by the livers from us to catch catfish. they are by far the best bait I ever used.
I have used the livers before and it worked. I kept some of them from the ones we cleaned last time. Thanks for the info! 🍻

Worstershire would be good in the sauce. Also a little horseradish. Do you use Tabasco? It’s my personal favorite. My dad would put it on sardines and Vienna sausage when I was a kid back in the day. What kind of rifle? Pellet? .22? NW Alabama is covered in wild pig in the river bottoms. Enjoyed!

We both work in the oilfield. Tara is a material coordinator and I'm a maintenance supervisor. By the way, I'm not a huge fan of my job🤣. Appreciate it buddy! 🍻
Thanks! We live in Alabama. A couple of years ago, I took my daughter to Venice, LA on a red fishing trip. Our guide also worked in the oil fields during the week. He was a IT specialist. They would helicopter him to different rigs and he would maintain the software programs.. BTW, I'm a fastpitch softball pitching instructor.

They do have wild hogs in a lot of the areas we go but I actually never hunted them before. Always a first for everything!

The 30’s down south? Is that even heard of! That lawn chair in the boat reminds me of the time we were fishing in backwater. I was sitting in the middle of a shallow boat in a lawn chair late in my pregnancy. I big boat flies down the middle of the lake causing big waves causing our boat to rock, my husband lunges for a limb to steady the boat, boat tips and I fall right in the water lawnchair and all. My husband jumps in to help me back in the boat. I was worried about snakes and gators and my husband says “honey, with the splash you made there wasn’t a snake or gator within a mile of you”!!!!! I didn’t speak to him for a week. It was his idea for me to sit in a lawnchair in a shallow boat! I cried and then laughed, laughed and cried when I got back in the boat!

I would like to tell you that my husband loves to watch y'all. It reminds him of the relationship that he had with his father growing up. I pray that you will have many more days to spend together doing what you love with the ones that you love. Unfortunately my husband lost his father way too early, but he tries his best to share with his boys the things that he was taught by his daddy. Thanks to Keith, Tara and Drake. I can’t do boats anymore due to age and a balance issue. I loved going out the my hunting and fishing camp in my younger days to live off the land and water. I still have my memories along with your expeditions in the wild. My favorite channel on you tube.
