I have played several N64 games on this with no issues, maybe it depends on the game, but I've tried Conker's Bad Fur day, Paper Mario and OoT and all of them worked properly.

Just to clarify, What is the actual size of the display screen? I read 3.5 inches but is that diagonally or horizontally? Can u do a quick check
