Hello. Love your hairQuestion newbie. When you first started going natural you had to train your hair right? My daughter tried the extreme gel from your other video we debated in this one when I seen it in the store. Her curls are not defend at all any suggestions?? She's 16, always been natural, has shoulder length hair and I always braid it. I told her, her hair is use to being in braids and it will take time was that right???
Yes you are exactly right. My hair was not this defined when I first became natural, as I had been wearing a lot of sew-ins and box braids. Once I became consistent with a regimen and with styling my hair in it's "natural" state, more of the definition started to come through!

@@byoutyfullgurl okay thanks we are washing weekly now because she has dandruff really bad. So I got some curling cream and we will start there. I can't thank y'all enough for replying cause I am so green when it comes to this! I have asked on other people I follow and it's been nothing!
@@lmhorton911 ( I'm sorry for my English, I'm not really good at it but I will try to explain) I would also recommend to test here perositie ect. And I would recommend to use products without Sulfates (they strip the hair to much and are really harsh on curls) and silicones (those are a rubber/plastic layer that over your hair wich makes it more shiny and stuff) but on a short period using those 2 then you won't really notice anything but if you don't use them for a longer time your hair gets much healthier! I recommend to really read alot of thing about the curly girl method and maybe the hair needs more moisture or protein!? you can do some tests! I used tk straighten my hair everyday so it was really damaged and after 3 years I finnaly managed to get my natural curls back like how they would be back in the days

LaDonna Horton in order to get definition she’ll need to wash and condition weekly to detox the hair. That is what a hair expert told me.
