Christopher Montoya: Last Call

In my later years at the Academy, I had a cinematography 4 class. I was the only student in the class on a writer director path while everyone else were on a director of photography path. Our class was given the opportunity to shoot on the first consumer video camera with a 24p frame rate. We were encouraged to check it out from the camera department and experiment with it. I was shocked that most of the students wasted the opportunity by filming things like their cat playing with toilet paper or not even shooting any footage with the camera.
I didn't waste anytime checking out the camera with a small lighting package and filmed a short movie with it in a few hours.
