  • We were SO looking forward to visiting beautiful Khao Sok National Park and Cheow Lan Lake. It was definitely on our Thailand bucket list and it should be on yours too!
There are quite a few accommodation options to choose from. We went mid range and booked with Smiley Bungalows on their 2 nights/3 day package. We had a night at Smiley Dome Camp in the quaint village of Khao Sok and then transferred to Smiley Lake House for a night on the water. We took an evening and sunset boat safari and visited Nam Talu Cave. It was an adventure! Find out if it lived up to expectations in this video!
And if you’ve enjoyed watching please subscribe to our channel as we have lots more videos from Thailand and SE Asia to bring you.

This looks amazing!! I am actually thinking about booking with smiley lake house as well for the lake overnight tour and I was wondering, how long in advance did you book?

The rain is cooling things slightly now which is a welcome relief!

What an incredible place. Some of the shots you got were just so beautiful. The shot of Romana on the reef was just fantastic. The dome was really lovely, and how incredible there were no midges - what a result! Nam Talu Cave was really atmospheric - I thought you were really brave going in - and I agree they really need someone at the back, as some of that water looked deep - yikes! So good to see you enjoying your adventures. You two are awesome and so inspiring :-) Take care of yourselves and can't wait for the next one. All the best, David 🙌🐒

Thanks David. We really enjoyed filming this one. There was so much beauty and it was a lot of fun. And so great that we didn’t have to worry about being bitten which gets tiring after a while! Although we have your trusty net hat/face cover which is brilliant. The rains are coming now which means the mossies are on the prowl even more now! 🦟

It’s not overly deep. You might have to swim a little. It feels safe. You are more likely to tread water a bit.

Do you have your own kayak ?

No. The kayaks belonged to the resort. They are free to use. They are usually tied to the piers along by the accommodation.👍
