When Alameda County refused to annex the area and provide those services, the area was declared blighted and eminent domain was used in order to build an industrial park there. The Dutch were first to Russel City, only later did Black Americans form a community. And let’s get real, we’re talking about like 12 sq blocks and about 1,400 people!

In law we have a concept called vicarious liability that routinely and regularly applies to place the COST of blame on a responsible party. A customer drops a shampoo in a store and another customer slips in it. The store pays because it is responsible. It gets hard to understand when selfish, racist, ignorant, self-important thoughts are all that you're made of. Corporations also fought against vicarious liability to avoid having to pay you for your broken foot when customers of even employees get injured at work. So your perspective is nothing new.

They specify the abuses and damages.
They assign a dollar amount for their compensation.
They pay the victim.
If the victim is deceased; they identify the closest living legal heir and pay them.

In some cases not easy to find. Most slaves where not assigned a "sire" name, birthdates not recorded. Simply listed in tax documents, bill of sales with a first name along with the animals owned or 21:39 sold.🤬

Notice how there has to be a debate, hearing, even a query of sorts when it comes to reperations. But not when it comes to giving billions to Ukraine, Israel, Japanese Americans (per treatment during WWII), or other groups. When it comes to black people, every excuse and stall tactic will be used. Also, the damage to us goes far beyond CHATTEL slavery. Not indentured servitude which took place everywhere else.

Israel and Ukraine are given money because of lobbying and/or because it benefits the US geopolitically, they aren't reps. From what I can tell, the reps for Japanese Americans went to the actual surviving internment victims. In the same way the survivors of the Tuskegee experiments were given reparations directly, not their descendants. None of these things are the same as what this video proposes.

Just maybe people making comments need to be more educated on this matter. It would help if American understood why reparations is needed, due to historical harm that has been done to black people. Americans have been poorly educated, the harm that white supremacy has done to those that build this country. There is so much hatred in this country it’s unreal toward black people.
