      Adapt, overcome, improvise! I was quite the beginner of making videos when I fist started. For each new video I release I've been trying to improve the quality so if you see my newer ones they're barely recognisable to my first few haha. Thanks for the comment man!

    Greetings Beardgames. I apologize for my English, but I hope you can understand me. First off, thank you so much for your Beginner videos, they are just incredibly interesting and helpful. Secondly, I am now trying to make my first project on UE4, and I wanted to ask you, would you mind if I use your models of walls, chest and torch that you showed in the previous video? The project is free, but I will definitely insert a link to your TH-cam channel in the credits?
    Thanks again for the tutorials.

    Great work, I'm wondering if you will be showing a character from scratch during this series, from blender, model, rig, painting, anims to ue4 moving. I started my own little challenge after watching your epic boss fight, but having trouble after weight painting making the bones move the way I want them to, they just bend instead of flowing flush.

      If that's what you want to see I'm happy to work something up :) its really awkward, my dragon boss took me like a month. When I create a boss in this series I will cover rigging, animating + painting

      @@Beardgames as of right now, they are perfect. For my level, some go way too basics. I'm no expert by any means, but have been working and getting to know Unreal for a couple of months now, though only the material side of things. Everything else is new to me. I'm really looking forward to the blueprint one. At some point I'd really recommend you look into doing a tutorial series about incorporating megascans into the work flow as I feel for many beginners it's a good way to forget about 3d modeling and straight to chase.
      Anyway, I'm rambling by now and I wouldn't want to waste your time. Thank you once again for carrying us all through this beautiful hobby and career that game development is.

      @@Beardgames I am very new to unreal engine so I thought I should maybe skip learning cascade (the system you used for the particles) and instead try to learn niagara :) Right now I am following the examples in the documentation. It's a little bit overwhelming at first (like most things in ue4😂) but it looks very nice and promising

    • @Beardgames
      @Beardgames  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zombi1034 Yeah I see what you're saying haha. I just checked it out briefly and it seems like a cool tool. If you're new to unreal engine I'd still start with particle systems as particle systems are one of the primary effect features unreal has to offer. From what I watched it seems like niagara is for more specific and advanced effects which particle systems can't produce. So if you learnt niagara you may be able to produce some even cooler effects than particle systems, but it may take you longer and be less practical then just using the particle system. Thought I'd give you my opinion on it but regardless of what you do let me know how it works out for you :D
