CATHEDRAL AMBIENCE: VOL II | 1 Hour of Relaxing Pipe Organ Music for Meditation, Study, and Sleep

- The ambience of a large cathedral, the soothing quieter sounds of a pipe organ, and 1 full hour to relax and drift off. I began this series as a way to show the pipe organ's calmer side, and to improvise meditative music over a long stretch of time. This is Volume II, and features images I took in Liverpool Cathedral, UK in January of 2022. Enjoy!

Unwind, relax, find a sense of calm in this huge space. How does this music make you feel? Let me know in the comments below 🧘♂🏰🎶
The feeling? Like one is being ushered through the streets of heaven. It sounds like peace feels. 😌🙏🏻
Nice for reading. Thanks.
I cried. I haven't done that in a very long time. So healing. Thank you.
If there’s any one instrument that makes me any happier, it’s the organ. Thank you for bringing me back a notch with this transformative experience of gorgeous improvisation and the lushest registers of one of the finest Henry Willis instruments ever built. I feel very much as ease, I thank you for that. 😌
Amazingly wonderful! I've always wondered what would happen if I improvised a prelude like that on Sunday morning. I can imagine looking out from the console at a congregation of closed eyelids or glassy eyes. Really beautiful. Thanks so much. And, I can also imagine Ernest Skinner sipping a martini, thinking, "yep! He understands."
This sort of music is superb, but far more than that, it is spiritually enhancing!
Wow the low frequencies shook my house.
I had a friend who for 40 years was a professional relaxation therapest here in australia who worked with people with mental issues to help those have a better life. At the time he would have loved to use this type of music for the benefit of his clients, he passed away last december 2022 at the age of 90 and on his behalf, i would like to thank you organist for all three recordings of which i have here.
You're most welcome! :)
Enjoyable with nice low bass
Calming and amazingly beautiful! Lena
This is incredible! Thank you for another one of these chill ambience videos to zen out with 🧘🏼♀️💜
Une facette de l'orgue méconnu du grand public, magnifique, je voyage avec ce genre de musique... Merci !
Perfect for enhancing my time of prayer meditation and Bible study. Thank you 🙏🏿
How does this music make me feel? I’m so relaxed right now I can only sayyyyyyyy …… 🥱🥱🥱😴😴😴
So schön kann die Welt sein
Sehr wahr, danke
Thanks, again. The photography is as beautiful and relaxingly serene as the music. All are beyond my expectations. Mucho thanquitos!! ;-)
Oooo I love this! I found it the other night and the whole place started shaking. Poor neighbors. I'm saving it for a daytime concert.
I think this works really well for afternoon naptime!
I don't know who you are with what you are gifted but not only has your music helped me to unwind but it has brought me closer to God. I thank you for putting this out there and allowing us the privelage of creating a world of focus and calm that allows for contemplation, meditiation, and enlightenment. I very much hope you choose to do more. You have my undying thanks. God be with you.
I will certainly continue to make more of these videos. Your comment is heart warming, and I'm humbled to hear how it's helped you
Beautiful ❤️. God bless you 🙏
It is like being in a different world.......
Love this!!! The photo looking at the pipes, breathtaking!!!
Hey man... I don't mean to be repetitive but thanks again. After a few weeks of listening to these inner landscapes, I can only say thank you for that moment when you thought it was a good idea to record yourself in front of (three?) stacks of keyboards and tubes. When I most needed to put on the table everything I've done wrong during the last years, these endless pieces fell from the sky... this gave me infinite moments of inner peace, enough to be able to draw conclusions.
No worries about being repetitive, I'm just so glad you have found some peace from these videos, that's what they're here for. The goal in everything I play is to reach at least one person through the music, and it means a lot to hear what you're saying about these ambience videos. I plan to create some more in the very near future! Cheers :)
thank you ... thank you
This music is the love child of Angelo Badalamenti and Tangerine Dream, at 5 miles per hour.
holy moly theres a second one 🤯🔥
...there may even be a third... 😉
I think I am hiking in the Grand Tetons
Aaron, thanks for this lovely, gentle music! It lulls me to sleep many nights. ❤
Thanks Caroline! I've used it myself for the same thing -- works great for afternoon naps, too.
He has a lovely face, too.
Nice atmospheric music. Did you get the chance to play the organ at Liverpool ?.. If so, which console? I hear that is quite the experience.
I didn't get to play there (yet!), but I would love to hear how it must sound in a space that massive.
amazing. What organ was this recorded on? I love the sound of real organ pipes.
It's a Skinner built in 1924. First UMC Pasadena, CA.
The olny issue I had with this is the static/slight white noise thru out, but beautiful stuff
Thank you!! Funny enough, I think the noise is the sound of crickets chirping outside the church when I recorded it, and I believe it's the white noise you're hearing, or maybe it's the air from the pipes. With live performance, stuff like this sometimes happens!
@@aaronshows I didnt notice it for a while, then as i turned it up, it hit me a lot more. yes live performance is like that, great playing btw
What organ is this? Sounds like something by skinner to me.
It's a 1924 4-manual Skinner, yes!
There is some additional info in the video description, as well...
жаль что тут отсутствует мелодия ((( через 20 мин начинаешь догадываться, а через пол часа точно понимаешь, чо это сгененрированная музыка. жаль что не настоящая. нет души...... ((
Thanks for your input 😊 As the person who actually played and recorded this entire piece live, it's concerning to learn you think I play with no soul, though I can assure you that it's 100% real and human-created. Best wishes to you, and I hope this slow melodic music can help you find some calm 🙏🏻
Excellent music but ruined due to a horrible S/N ratio.
The realities of a real pipe organ, there is noise!
@@aaronshows True, but I think this noise was the recording itself. I understand that wind noise from the blowers is normal. This noise was just crazy loud, almost 50% of signal IMO. Anyway, no big deal.
S/N fine
