I learned from Adam Savage's Tested that Weta was using this technique for the show, (!) so I gave it a try. The Show is incredible, It has quickly become one of my favorites, it's exciting and amazing to watch. Thanks Weta!
You know you have to give them the best of props for what they just did I never seen anyone make real set props work so good with the 3d animated stuff, I swear I did not even know that the settings they were in were real props. It fucking blew my mind right now.

I had no idea any of the visuals in the new series were physical models! I had assumed it was entirely CGI. Somewhere up in sci-fi-TV heaven, Gerry and Sylvia are grinning ear-to-ear. Amazing work, lads and lasses!

This is stunning! Its phenomenal you're paying respect to the original show and making use of modelling techniques for visuals. Its a dream job of mine to become a model maker for film when I'm older!
this is way better than the original 1960s Thunderbirds Thunderbirds made in 1965 is creepy and has puppets but i still love it and TAG is CGI and not creepy
I can understand why people find them creepy but those puppets are works of art all by themselves if you see how they were made. And without them, we wouldn’t have the CGI show. Still, it’s good to know you’re enjoying Thunderbirds in whatever form! Weta Workshop has done us proud.
I still don't understand why TB1's wings are tilted downwards I mean that would only reduce lift that's why the majority of WWII planes had their wings on a slight swoop up right?
Maybe they want to be artistic. I also think it is unnecessary, though, and I going fully practical is as artistic, or more. It would take suuuch a long time to produce with the amount of action and episodes they need to make though.
