I took my late Mom to see Michael in Radio City, NY. That was 20 yrs ago. I saw his show on Broadway on New Years Day. keegan is the star now. Michael has passed the torch. They are lovely & humble. I met them at the stage door. Michael stopped to take a photo & sign his autograph on my program, & on my arm. Yes, I have a tatoo of my favorite performer!
+Maureen Coulombe I wish I could have received an autograph from Flatley in Vegas at Caesars... but I'm not complaining.. the show was brilliant. Lucky you.. maybe I'll see him at a Worlds' comp. yet!! Lucky you... Radio City?? Lovely. xox
Not sure Flatley could ever be replaced. Dancing ability aside, no one could ever have that presence. Love him or hate him, presence he has.. Think we should not look upon anyone new as a replacement but rather a dancer/entertainer as a new and exciting prospect.
I am just hearing Michael Flatley is retiring and all I can think of is wow! time flies. How long has it been since Riverdance and that first lord of the dance? Too long! Agghh!! getting older! Gotta give the new guy a chance. The performance is still amazing.
Just saw Dangerous Games as a gift from my 4 kids. I saw Michael Flatley 19 years ago and LOVED his show. This show I was very disappointed that he only appears at the last 15 min. If I had known that I never would have hinted that I wanted to see the show. He is still amazing and the show was great but I felt deceived!
It's quite amazing when you imagine that you are watching and enjoying beautiful things sitting 1000s of km away, being from diff colour, caste, creed, culture, society, religion etc. I think no one in the world can hate or dislike this dance. It's so beautiful
I ordered the Lord of the Dance CD - I wish it had been filmed as well as this. Creative directors seem to think that if you want to see a performance like this, they should zoom in on faces, feet and film from above or below - you don't get the full effect of the performance at all. This was so well done.
+Claire Katsos This is a version of the title song "Lord of the Dance," that was used in LOTD Dangerous Games. You might be able to buy the album/specific songs on itunes.
Does anyone out there know the name of the first tune or where I can find the "dots" (sheet music) to it? I looked for it on "The Session" (Dangerous Games) but didn't find it. I'd love to learn it on low (or high) whistle. It sounds very pleasing! :o)
It's from Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games, this piece is called 'Lord of the Dance'. As far as I know the soundtrack for Dangerous Games hasn't been released yet, but you can check out the score for the original show by Ronan Hardiman
Any idea where this took place? And is this an official "Lord of the Dance" troupe that tours the country or a local group in this particular community? Wish the people who post these things would provide some details.
This is a joke. Really! All of the girls are wearing "high heels". They are NOT wearing the traditional hard sole's. I am not saying they are not good dancers, but PLEASE stay true to what is should be.
Ger 1107 If you should 'stay true to what it should be' then this show wouldn't exist. Michael tweaked and 'broke the rules' on what Irish dancing should be.. ie. arm movements- true Irish dancing have arms straight down, never any movements, that's why the show is so successfully as he put his own signature in there, therefore there are no rules. You should watch the interviews where he explains how he got to where he has. The high heels have taps on them too.x
I went to see this show recently and it is just a bad remake of the original. The music to my taste has no harmony compared to that of Ronan Hardiman. I dont know how Michael Flatley approved Gerard Fahy´s music. It´s just so empty, so souless.....and during the performance you wish you could listen to the original music.
Agreed. When they changed the music , they messed with a masterpiece. Someone forgot the old saying: " if it ain't broke, don't fix it". A cardinal rule when it comes to art of any type ; once you have a ' hit', stop messing with it and stop trying to change it; that just ruins the original beauty. I studied Marketing in College; "New and Improved", doesn't always end up being better than the original. Ask the executives at Coca-Cola how that worked, when they tried to "re-formulate" that much loved soft drink. 😮😱
It’s a shame they changed the original music. Not feeling this one at all. The lead is technically excellent but he’s no Michael Flatley. He just doesn’t have the presence.

Can't watch without Flatley dancing..☹☹
Micheal Flathley will never be forgotten for his creation of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance!!.

+sheliene12 It has been over 20yrs since his Debut in the Original Lord of the Dance .Namaste
yes the dancing is fabulous but he doesn't have the charisma of Michael Flatley - l
jim partridge Yeah, I have to admit. It was sure fun while it was unfolding. The newness of the show back then. The excitement of it was fun.
Michael we will miss you on the stage!!-you have given is such joy as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance!!.

James Kegan

A team of nimble foot dancers! Congratulations are a small expression of my amazement! 👍👏👏👏💓
This was very enjoyable to watch
Amazing, enjoyed every second...😍❤️❤️❤️😍
Wow modern day iris dancing 💃🏾 is really a upgrade I can't imagine 20 years from now
Even though it sounds traditional to me but it's making my jaw dropped
Wonderful .
Sooo awesome, fantastic!! He is almost as good as Flatley!!! :D
+SliceIceNDice James Keegan isn't that bad, he's pretty good.
+Sylvie Fyen Saw James Keegan on Broadway, what a fantastic dancer he is.
Dance like lil butterflies
This is SO AWESOME!!!
Toujours autant de performances - Bravo !
Brilliant! I love it!
Finally, someone in Flatleys' position who's just as good as him.
jazmin perry James Keegan is his name
Keegan is the best after Flatley!
I agree; the difference between the two is Flatley has the X Factor...
Wonderful......The best
Grandiose👏👏👏👏
Still like the first show best!!!
this was just a very VERY bad remake of the first one
@@juanjosecuetogomez40 Yep, it was more or less dialled in.
All the women are gorgeous

Still like the Dublin 1996 version the best.

Extraordinario
I think the Irish dancers were preferable simply because there are more of them and they all had to be in sync at the same time.
sehr gut
where did he learn these moves?
magnifique
whats the first part of the song called ? need it for a talent show at school.
+Claire Katsos This is a version of the title song "Lord of the Dance," that was used in LOTD Dangerous Games. You might be able to buy the album/specific songs on itunes.
Did you find it as I also need it for my year 4 children to do a dance to! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)
It's weird the only thing available on itunes is the film dangerous games. I have never seen the soundtrack available.
loѕ ғυι a ver нoy😍❤ eѕтυvιeron estupendos
I hated every minute of it....the original show was way much better
Presumably you stood up and left the theater?
Riverdance, yes? Ml. Flatley choreographed all of that too.
Does anyone out there know the name of the first tune or where I can find the "dots" (sheet music) to it? I looked for it on "The Session" (Dangerous Games) but didn't find it. I'd love to learn it on low (or high) whistle. It sounds very pleasing! :o)

He is better than Flatley.
Trained & Taught by Mr. Flatley, no doubt? Great advantage that is.
Ffff
Speed and primitive movements. Not impress.
