Den clearly , clean knees to the body , kicks to midsection all day , occasionally clear punches . As to that the fact that Den was very compose and Dekkers trying to go for the ko which he failed , it was hard for a judge to give it to Dekkers who despite seemed to be more effective was actually trying to hard and may appears to not fight smart and knowing what scores and what not , still this was one of Dekkers most competitive lost against the Thais . Winner : Den by a competitive decision . P.S. Den would rematch Dekkers at the king's birthday at Macao and he without a doubt proved who was the better fighter by winning even more comfortably and clearly the rematch .

this is called fighting to survive back in the golden era and especially with Ramon he was not going to get any gifts and as long as the hometown fighter was able to stand up they got the win! it has NOT a damn thing to do with Thai scoring this was a well known fact that came to light many years after Ramon fought there and now days the Thais have become money savvy opening up vacation training camps and "set up fights" at smaller stadiums where Farangs can go and get a "win" over a Thai fighter although he maybe a thai cab driver but still a Thai fighter lol
Lopez Bunch The scoring at that time was that , dont expect the muay thai circuits ( 200 000 fighter compete in it at all time ) to just change just because his highness Roman of Dutchland Dekkers fought there . Dekkers lost in this fight he just didn't show any sign of control while Den was fighting on his backfoot and in reverse most of the time ( the hardest method possible , something that the judge greatly appreciate ) .
