We've been slowing working on the Jeep to get it ready for travel adventures when we're not in our motorhome. In this video, we finish the storage setup we'll need in order to be ready for our next big trip, which is announced in the video!

Such cool storage solutions for that very small space! Will it be warmer down there in Texas than at home in Arkansas when you go on this trip, or is there some way you can heat the tent for the cooler Autumn temperatures? I'm really looking forward to seeing Big Bend with you guys!
It should definitely be warmer, but we don’t know how much. We’re expecting anywhere from 80s during the day to 40s at night.
The tent is very warm, and we have an insulation tent we can hang inside if it gets down around freezing. We’ve slept in it in the low 40s comfortably with our sleeping bags. In the 50s the sleeping bags were uncomfortably hot!
Looking forward to more on this, as I have an FJ Cruiser I haven’t gotten it out much yet. Can’t do a tent on top ( 1” clearance on garage door w/ 3” lift that came with it ) and too small for us two older adults to sleep in, even if we do pull all the supplies out. ( Her no go on a ground tent. :-) While I continue to search for results, will watch your set up for cool ideas in general. Loved your RV in 1 year montage!! You’re house is awesome with the glass/views and property !! Looking for similar. You around Springfield area or? Custom home build? Cheers!
The Jeep doesn’t fit in our garage anymore! It’s kind of a bummer but we figure the tent is up there to take any hail damage that might happen.
Sounds like you need to build a bed platform in the FJ! That would be so fun to build!
