I've always been strangely captivated by the scene where Torupa asks the little girl where the voice of the planet is, she gives him a handful of earth, and he consumes it.

I remember the manga and anime, thanks for this no one does robo vs monster than Japan!!
As a Westerner, I could have seen this as silly; instead, the giant watermelon and monster were so strange, I found them terrifying!
Yes, TV special effects, but done with care and imagination: far better than the best effects which can be dreary and without life. I am hooked! Good job, wonderful presentation! Thank you.
Thank you, thank you very much. It was my childhood movie, even now, Mikazuki looks still badass.
Damn, I was cry a lot after watching this movie.
i had watched it when i was five, i only remember about a giant watermelon monster and i have been searching it for 9 years through my flash back and now i found it
I pray that they are working on an HD remaster of this series for Blu-Ray right now, because aside from the PS2 cut scene-grade CG, the special effects look absolutely gorgeous (especially, the miniatures).
Keita Ameniya is a low key genius. Although Zeiram is a bit higher quality than this, it's still great imaginative fun, and an homage to decades of tokusatsu before it..
Great for passing the time away, and the film was not that bad I enjoyed it.
So.. Tokio is invaded by a flying slice of watermelon.. and from then on it just gets more psychedelic by the minute.. I LOVE IT!! 🤣
Leave it to the Japanese to make crazy scifi
Is one of that Classics Unique my friends. Thanks.
This tv show was just so ahead of its time
AMAZING!..........there's something INFINITELY charming, but never juvenile, with this Japanese tv series......wish we had the equivalent here in the states.......like THAT will ever happen....thanks for the uppie!
The coolest thing in this show is that big ass flying watermelon.
I've find this film for 2 years and i still remember when i watch this when i was like 1.
Very much appreciated for the English subtitle. Fantabulous movie.
Everyone else remembers a watermelon. All I remembered was the tentacles grabbing Kazeo's dad and fusing with him.
The memories of me finding this movie 5 years ago when I was 6
Finally Ive found this movie, I watched it when I was like 4 or 5 years old. Ive been searching for it on google by the term "Japanese power ranger movie with a bad guy eating a ball of dirt" LOL
I enjoyed this movie a lot, thank you.
This is awesome loved it thankyou 👍😊❤️
Nice upgrade. My first time seeing this.
Nothing but a robot version of Godzilla. But I love these cheesy movies by the Japanese. Hokey special effects but ya gotta luv em.
Love these monster and robot films going to watch the next episode.
I'm getting a lot of Giant Robo vibes from this series.
Great for the shows:) enjoyed them

Kazeo Mom So Selfish ,Your Son Is A Hero If You Know ,Its Weird To See Flying Watermelon ,But The Story Is Good ,Thanks For Upload It🙏
Good stuff. Long live kaiju!
Tepe from Zairam!.... well the actor that played Tepe. Wow... Comedy and drama, the guy has chops.
People who think that Power Rangers is campy distilled adaptation of actually serious Japanese source material deserve to be shown this in all its glory.
+Reirainsong Having seen both, my opinion remains unchanged.
The FX are out of this world, haha, straight from a PS2.
of course the water melon turns into a giant monster. everyone who saw that coming raise your hands. *raises both hands*
Magnifique film
Je suis fan 👍➕👌
Michel !
I remember an old japanese saying when it comes to conquering territories, or on expeditions. They never ever bring a woman, according to the old superstitions theyre "kusa nada". They'll just bring badluck to the men in the group. They only allow women to come over, when they already established a stronghold of the area.
Same here in Borneo when head hunter going to war/hunt, they never 'sleep' with their wife before depart from home. It's a bad luck.
Everyday I dream of a "Flying Watermelon"; now my dreams are fulfilled!
I found it awesome actually, best special effect ever
Good jop
Fulfills
Interesting series, Thanks
Totally Cool my friends. Thanks.
At first I was like WTF !!? A giant watermelon with killer watermelon seeds? I got to admit it kinda grew on me lol. Its a kids show, take it for what its worth. I'm sure I would have really liked it as a kid.
This Name is a Great Classic my friends. Thanks.
This is so bad, it's actually entertaining. It's like watching a slow train wreck - I just couldn't take my eyes off it.
@Kraze Wtf do you expect from a series made in 2000?
That was pretty good, I am a big Godzilla fan and I came across this, it was like Gigantor on steroids.
32:40 who approved this shot
To think the monster here was a concept for Biollante from Godzilla.
this is a tv show... TV... imagine if we had tv shows on this scale with monsters and robots on a regular basis... regular free tv...not a cable show TV...
and kill it with just one punch. :)
Forget Pacific Rim! This is how Japan shows you how to do Giant Robots vs Giant Monsters...
I agree 👩🚀🚀
I was wondering about all the people in those building's that robot went through😂
Exactly what I was wondering 🤔
Best edit ever!!
My dad called me and said he was watching a show with some watermelon in it, he sent me the title. That moment I knew I had to see it XD
Been looking for this series literally for years, since seeing it in an issue of G-Fan in like 2001
Awesomesauce. Classic Tokusatsu vibe relayed by CGI and 21st century advanced visual effects. What else could a fan ask for?
This reminds me of Johnny Sokko and his flying robot! Childhood memories!
Shawn Ckhristopher
awesome !!!!
Thank you for uploading this video! I would like to see more! It's my first time ever seeing this and pretty cool, it reminds me of the Johnny Socko and his flying robot, I remember it by a different title, Giant Robot. I have so many questions.
That was awesome!
Has anyone else noticed the this show uses the exact same sound effects as in Ultraman Tiga, Dyna and Gaia. From what I researched this series wasn't made by Tsuburaya, so I think there may have been a mole in the studio.
@Bobo Boy maybe they never noticed
Wait...
This is essentially "Keita Amemiya does Kaiju and Mecha"??
I'm in!
President is beautiful!!
ôi mẹ ơi, cái tuổi thơ dữ dội của tôi :"), phim hay lắm cám ơn ad
Duy Duong =3
Ahahahaha that is what gets me most about the giant monster debate. The Military causes more damage trying to kill the creatures then the creatures might. Sure if they went stomping through a city like Tokyo or New York or Los Angles it would do lots of damage. But if it just popped up on a uninhabited coastal beach and just sat there laying eggs or soaking up solar rays for food would attacking it be a good idea.
Getting some Evangelion vibes from this
2024 i watach again this masterpiece
Keita Amemiya is the creator of the Garo series
Interesting concept of this story too bad its graphics were low like the version of ? i can't remember that old show from back in the day.
this is apparently part one, Sense does not get made until part two or three.

33:00 did they just break into a giant watermelon slice from another universe?!
It's a comedy. Giant watermelon creature. Giant watermelon seed creatures. Then Get Kooky shows up.
Ok, so in short: 40:00
The giant watermelon lizard breathes Ultimate Rust Remover?
.
and then it gets even weirder?
32:39 was pretty good.
