I'm neither equipped, trained or comfortable with hot's but I love how intelligent and alert cobra's are. If I were to keep any venomous it would be some species of cobra.
@kieko100 Open your eyes...most have water bowls. They are just mostly a source of humidity and a toilet for them to crap in. Did you not see me hand water the snakes? That's how most get a drink, not from the toilet.
Do you ever or maybe a better question will you ever hand hold one of your snakes without gloves or hooks? Do you trust any of them enough? Thanks for the great video...
Hi Al, how hard is it to keep remembering that these guys are lethal? You seem to have a great relationship with most of your snakes and it must be very easy to become complacent. Great videos too, really nice to see the mambas on film being calm!
@viperkeeper thats unfortunate because of the hard and magnificent work you do with all these gorgeous animals. from another hobbyist: keep up the great work! you are one of my role models! lol
i thought snakes eye sight was more heat vision then like a normal human witch sees 3D objects or can snakes see like that also? cause im pretty sure 1 of the king cobras will climb up a small tree or something and just look for a trail and then smell out its pray
I have a question about feeding that no-one I've spoken to has an answer for. One of my snakes, an adult Pueblan milk snake, used to eat large adult mice with no problems then stopped eating. I've had snakes go for weeks and months without feeding before so I didn't worry. When I was feeding my neonates pinkies the milk snake got really excited so I gave him some and he wolfed them down. Now he won't eat anything larger than mice fuzzies. Have you ever seen this before and is it a problem?
The red spot Pit Viper is a really beautiful snake. You are amazing the way you handle these dangerous beauties.Al, you really are the Mr. Rogers of snakes.
@kieko100 Wait a minute. I was not biting any heads off, I was just stating the facts and answering your question. 1) In fact there are waterbowls in most of the Viv's, this can be seen in the video that I assume you watched. 2) Captive do indeed use the waterbowl as a toilet. 3) I was hand watering snakes in the video as an alternate to filling the toilets. Don't be so "thin skinned". When I bite heads off there is no mistake about it.
@firstrambo3000 Yes, the one in my pants is safe to hold without a hook. WTH are you thinking?? These can make you dead quite fast, you have to be very foolish to free-handle venomous snakes.
have you ever kept Ahaetulla nasuta? if so did you try to breed them? i want to keep them i am about to order some and try to breed them but i just want them to take pictures of they are very cool snakes i have never seen one in real life and they are already one of my favorite snakes!!
@firstrambo3000 The only way you can hold a venomous snake without it biting you is if you wear very thick padded gloves. Even then its not recommended as they can bite through them or bite above them.
@Butcher851 Depends, the whole Asian Pit Viper group was split into 4 or 5 different genus a few years back.
Mr.Brown is one fun, and wacky snake!!!.
I'm neither equipped, trained or comfortable with hot's but I love how intelligent and alert cobra's are. If I were to keep any venomous it would be some species of cobra.
The King Cobra is on top of his game Al. That's for sure.
Excellent Video Al !
Great video Al!

You are the absolute best at what you do, sir. My son and I have always enjoyed your videos. Stay safe, and keep up the good work.
@MikeTy1015 I water most of them by hand. Besides, they use the water bowls mostly as toilets.
@viperkeeper thats unfortunate because of the hard and magnificent work you do with all these gorgeous animals.

@firstrambo3000 Yes, the one in my pants is safe to hold without a hook. WTH are you thinking?? These can make you dead quite fast, you have to be very foolish to free-handle venomous snakes.
