How do you set the game up for February? Do you set it up so the cubes are in the same locations they were in January or do you start all over again? It seems like you'd have to just start all over again the beginning of the next month but that doesn't feel as thematic. By that I mean at the end of January there were a lot of red cubes out and if they're not there in February then what happened to them thematically?
+Chris Poulsen every new month gets set up like any other, drawing 9 cards and infecting the world, but as the game goes on, more and more extra stuff gets added as well :) thematically, we're not the only team working to deal with the spread of stuff, so whatever we didn't take care of, some other team (or teams) must have. throughout the game, there's constant story references to how we're the best team the CDC has, which means we're not the only one. we're on the front line fighting in the worst hotspots, but there's plenty of others who are doing clean up after we get the primary objective done :)
Hey there, the video is fantastic but there is one part i dont get. And if u could solve it out for me it would be amazing. So, after the first month of the game (we played and won) . And the we resolved any card drawn in legacy deck . Afterthat, we move on to play February . So my question is: Do we reset the entire board (put all the disease cubes back to the stash) and redraw 9 cards to infect cities like a normal game . Or we just leave the board like we have finished in january and keep on playing it in february ? Thanks , would be great if u reply to me :
I have a question... Imagine you had lost the first game and you had to use your second chance of the month. Would the changes done to the board mid-game (including the mutated virus, revolted cities and the new objective) be in play from the beginning? So it's not exactly the same starting situation again, then? I guess so, since some cards can literally get torn apart and all...
+D3sToD3s oops, good point, yes it's end of phase, not end of turn. still, the outcome was exactly 100% the same because at the end of phase, red was still the top dog disease. still i will add a note, thanks! :)
+Slyght well interestingly, 'choosing red' actually made the game harder for us because it meant all those red cards we collected for the cure could be put to good use! but i guess that increase in difficulty makes up for that one forgotten infection draw earlier in the runthrough! :)
"Who want's to read what the card says?" "Just you." - lol. I got a good chuckle from that one. Nice video.
I think I actually felt anxiety when David ripped up the card. I was thinking, just put it nicely back in the box. :)
+The Angel of Dice we played some more after we finished filming, and he got more comfortable with it. but Angela flatly refused, it was hilarious :)
Wow. That Coda modification is a little terrifying. Now I need to get my game started more than ever before.

yup, for ever new game (whether you won or lost the previous game) go through all of the steps on the setup pages in order :)

+Hilipinapixili they don't have you tear up cards until after you finish a month for the most part, so replaying a given month isn't really a problem
the Legacy Card is resolved before the last Phase of your turn. you resolved it after. wich could have changed the outcome.

+rahdo Well, technically you could have picked between red and black, but if you just retcon that your group decided to pick red, all the same :)

Mistakes like that are common in this game. Always read twice.
Gah! I'm trying to stop watching, because I don't want to get spoiled, but I can't stop watching...
