  • The Archdiocese of Cincinnati says it reported an allegation against a priest in 2012. The county prosecutor and police agency that would have received the report said they have no recollection, nor record, of that complaint.

A reasonable person would have destroyed that computer in rage and shock and sadness. Don't tell me you wouldn't do the same. Father and Deacon were not simply protecting the Church, don't pull that ridiculous card. He did a proper deed, though it was not the perfect one.
And to those who want to play anti-Catholic: ask yourself how many more crimes have been committed by secular society and its entities such as government and public schools?
I can't say you'll be shocked, but you ought to be at the least sickened.

Your comments are bigoted. Secular society is far worse at corruption. Yes, it doesn't excuse this, however can you explain the countless more crimes and coverups and miscues by let's say government and public services such as schools?

If police have qualified immunity… and the priests have qualified immunity… then why aren’t the Catholic Churches qualified for civil and federal investigation like the police department and city is?
If you can sue a city and police department for the actions of 1 officer… then you should be able to do the same against a religious institution.
