    I might be a little too late, but you can combo the trap into the standing 4 to get a combo full screen
    Amazing video haven’t seen anybody else. Use Maturo with him besides me.

    Quan Chi definitely is one of the most creative characters I seen in this game to date … every Kameo presents him with a whole different playstyle to use his kit . Ppl would even say Cyrax and Sareena are good with him . Motaro definitely is a new thought to me so I wouldn’t mind exploring .. it’s just have to be mindful his health is very fragile at 850 one good combo and he damn near on life support .. Prolly why I never explored that Kameo I usually want more health but if Motaro is a good choice and makes him strong I will lab him

      It’s for a more keepaway style which is why it works for him. He has he range to do keepaway and the buttons and frame data for it while also having a kameo that allows projectile conversions into 30-45% combos off projectile with that kameo. It strengthens his strengths and takes away his weaknesses.

    Gonna pick up Quan myself and see what I can get into with him since I used to play Warlock in MKX.
    One thing though, I think your notation is off for some of his strings.. you say his 123, and 1244, but it’s actually 213 and 2144. PSN Square = 1, Triangle = 2, X = 3 and O = 4
    I’m still going through the video so maybe you correct it. Whatever the case I appreciate the knowledge 🙏

    Do you think the ps5 dpad is more sensitive compared to the ps4. Because I main Shang Tsung and sometimes i juggle my opponent with his ground skulls the inputs don’t come out and I take my time to make sure I’m not mashing my inputs but the combo still drops

    • @z00ko

      You legit have no weaknesses. You’re dominant at every range. Can punish easily. Can punish at fat range. Had the best armor in the game from anywhere off of jumpins or whiffed jumpins even. You legit have no weaknesses. You only lose with Quan Chi if the player is lacking.

    • @z00ko
      @z00ko  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AustinShmokeskenshi can’t touch the Quan. He doesn’t have low damage either. You have easy 37% combos that you don’t have to hit confirm that can hit from anywhere on the screen meterless. You also can punish everything with the 8 frame king reaching normal. You have block pressure. He just requires a lot of knowledge to use. He isn’t hand feeding op stuff like Johnny. He’s a lot like fujin. Wrote off and was the best character in the game. It won’t be until someone actually really good plays him and shows the community who always does this every year with characters. They don’t lab or find a way to make a character great. If it isn’t hand fed at the beginning they call it trash. A hot take was when people said Kano was the best kameo in the game on release. The community doesn’t lab or be creative or find tech. They just play mk1 like it’s a combo game with trash neutral and knowledge. Sonicfox wasn’t lying when he said only 1% of the playerbase is actually good. Hence why his tierlist are always controversial.

      @z00ko  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Twisted_Ozzyhis down one isn’t important. Again it goes back to knowledge of the game and footsies. If someone is doing a stagger that is -4 it means that your poke is now 5 frames. So even if some button is minus 2. Your poke is now 7 frames which is and still is always going to hit. Once you establish that. People who poke are losers anyway. You can’t win in this game by poking. Poking is more of an interrupt that low profiles. Poking takes away your turn. He’s a range character he has range pokes. It’s about footsies and spacing. People forgetting fujin pokes were lackluster too until everyone started using his sweep for its range and ability to move him back. That’s the problem tho. The community doesn’t like characters that aren’t hand fed easy stuff

    I mean you are talking about mkx quan chi this mk1 quan sucks, in theory looks good, but try to do that in kl, or watch how pro players will interrupt every gap that quan has between the strings

    • @z00ko
      @z00ko  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m undefeated in kl with Quan chi. You can’t interrupt any gap with how I play him. I don’t need to be in your face to dominate and I don’t need to be far away to dominate either. I play him like how cetrion would play in mk11. You’re constantly playing chase or catch-up and I blow up your movement to where you can’t move. To interrupt a gap means armor through a string which is hella risky because I always tap block stagger which means I auto block all reversal armors on staggers. Meaning you take a risk and get punished for it. There’s no easy “just do this” to beating a good Quan chi. He has every option and every tool in his favor. You have to make a hard read to beat 1 of 3 option selects. Sure you may guess right 1 out of 4 times. But for every one you get right that’s 3 times I’m punishing you for taking the risk and not staying still and holding the pressure. In short it’s a long game I’m playing. A war of attrition. And to do that with 850 health and still never lose means I’ve made it bulletproof against the better players. So mk1 Quan chi is op. He just takes someone who understands footsies and staggers and space control and true zoning and movement punishing to make work. He has all the tools. It’s not theory, it’s practice. If you practice right, and play him right you dominate. I never lose life lead because I get to do inputs at a full screen that give me free 30% and I finish my combos off into setups and setplay that do 45-50% dmg from the setup. Meaning it’s a 2 play mixup that leads to death. He’s so much better than anyone is giving him credit for just like fujin. Wrote off by the community because they lacked vision and ending up being the best character in the game and the meta pick for all pros once they had a nobody teach them how to play the character. Then they cried for nerfs for a character they said needed buffs. It’s always the same with mk community. They lack vision, and in the most creative mk yet, still they call characters trash and don’t look inward.

      @@z00koOK man, I'm a huge fan of Quan chi, I've been taking ls against the Jhonnys, raidens, etc etc,not against the mid tiers, however you have things here in the video that can be applied playing online. Don't misunderstand me I hope that'd be just as fujin in the past. But I highly doubt it, I'll try to use the f2 into the bone cage keep it up!

    • @z00ko
      @z00ko  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@notoxicallowed7209 I wouldn’t recommend doing that until someone is conditioned. Abuse f2 into low kameo fireball jailing into 4. Or just stagger the f2 with block tapping. Or use one of his many special moves. He’s a 50/50 character at every range in the game except full screen. Abuse his specials. Which makes them hesitate or fuzzy. Fuzzing takes time to do which means it opens up throws and more block pressure

    I appreciate your skill but I have to be honest. If Quan Chi was amazing I wouldn't destroy him 90% of the time. You might be overestimating hisvalue as a result of being humble. The majority don't play him this well as you seem to. That's more you and less Quan Chi.

    • @z00ko
      @z00ko  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      And to that I say. Maybe you’re just better than those who play Quan Chi. People don’t know how to abuse anything outside of extreme plus frames and over low mixups and meaties and throw loops. Other than that and basic backslashes people have no sauce or understanding. It’s kinda like fujin. The best character but at the beginning had the lowest win ratio and no one complained about him till he was fully explored. If anything give yourself credit for having answers to the easier stuff he has to use and abuse. However once mastered, he has no weaknesses or bad matchups. It’s all mindgames that are in your favor at that point. And that’s really scary and hard to beat.

    • @z00ko
      @z00ko  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Johnny is good because he’s easy to use so everyone agrees on him. But I think Geras is way stronger and has much more tools. However no one is going to agree to that. I look at tierlist as potential power not flat out base power. I look at the ceiling. Johnny has a hard cap ceiling wise and he’s pretty straightforward. And that just works for the community because that’s the same mk since mk9. That’s what they’re used to but that style of play has so many weaknesses. Which is why Sonicfox washes most pros because he’s learned so many different fighting games that have made him so capable. It’s about growth, it’s about work ethic and execution. My point is that Quan Chi has an answer for everything, he’s untouchable in the right hands and can do so much that’s debilitating to the opponent. So again give credit to yourself because you’re that much smarter than those you go against

      @ericsimonson8002 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@z00ko okay fair enough. I'm a general shao/sub zero kameo main. If I'm better it's because I do appreciate the work ethic. The thing is that every character in a good fighting game has tools that are nigh unusable to the average player. I assert that you are not the average player and as a result of you underestimating your own skill you are giving Quan Chi credit that belongs to you. I don't argue with any of the information you've provided. I just don't think the average player will enjoy the same level of success as you when trying to emulate you.

      I look at the efficacy of moves. The more specific the range of a move the less likely it is to be used efficiently. I might put Quan Chi in top five but if I put my mind to it I could name characters that win more easily in more situations on average.
