Bruce Lee experimented with all sorts of techniques to get strong and healthy but he died early. Just saying. Extending life or slow aging, is something we know nothing about, but what is the end game ? You think you're going to live to 150y and feel like 30? Let's see.
I have to say I commend him, but I looked awesome at 46 with a very random lifestyle. I was a PT for 30 years before I retired so I've always exercised, but always enjoyed red wine and a lot of high fat food. You gradually, naturally as you age cut down on stuff. You can't gorge, you can't binge drink as you age, so it balances out naturally. I got to 69 and someone said 'wait till you hit 70. And I was like 'I'm a beast, it will make no difference. Au contraire. It's like falling off a cliff. The allotted lifespan? Three score years and ten? They knew it! So I won't be around to see it but I bet anything he won't be chirruping when he hits 70. It pains me to admit it. I thought I was invincible. Nature said 'NO! You'll fall apart like every other bugger on this planet.
High fat is only a problem if you consistently mix too much fat and carbohydrates in the same rough time period. One or the other is not nearly as bad. Carbohydrates shouldn't really be eaten in isolation long term its actively damaging to your body and is lacking is fat-soluble nutrients...
@@Mallchad I fully agree. I prefer fat to carbs so never eat high density carbs like bread and pasta and rice (never understood pasta and rice. It's only the addition of fat that makes them palatable!) So my diet has always been, meat, fat and veg. Or just meat and fat and a drink of those powdered greens so I don't have to eat veg! Also. we eat way too many carbs for our lifestyle. When we were physical beings and hand ploughed fields and walked miles a day to get anywhere it was fine. But literally anything now over 50g per day to fuel a life of inactivity is unnecessary.
@@acechadwick Me neither. People always talked about how carbs are so addictive and I was always look at them like an alien because its just a foreign concept to me. Like I prefer fish and bacon to chicken and one of my favourite fruits is coconut... Which is more saturated than beef.. I tried eating a lot of carbs twice in my life and it was a horrible disaster both times. Even Bryan's protocol had more had than carbs last I checked. Most of the carbs were difficult to digest nuts and legumes.
@Mallchad Whivh is why whether you subscribe to the Blood Group Diet or not, it's always made sense to me. As a Blood group O I naturally eat what I'm supposed to and have no desire to eat things I'm not to. And I did that naturally from childhood. I always used to (still do) eat vegetables and potatoes first to 'get them out the way' so I can enjoy the meat 😊
Yes but his method is all evidence based and he quit the blood transfusion because they did not do anything beneficial and this is what's so good about his method he tries a lot of things but if they do not work as intended they are put aside for something else.
Yes, I understand that he may look younger, but that's probably a byproduct of being a Millionaire. We have to worry about making enough money to pay our rent. Worrying about utility bills. Worrying about gas prices. Worrying about car maintenance. Worrying about food prices. Worrying about having to pay for medical bills. Worrying about keeping our jobs (that most of us don't like). And that's without factoring in a wife and kids, which adds an entire different category of WORRY! Most people's lives are filled with STRESS because of the need to make money to survive. This stress is an ongoing "background" to most people's lives. This is what makes people look and feel old in many cases. If I could buy whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and not have to WORRY about the cost my stress level would plummet. If I could afford to own a house and not have a mortgage it wouldn't add any undue stress to my life. If I didn't have to worry about getting sick and not being able to afford to pay for treatment or having to file for bankruptcy, then that would be much less STRESS. I find it hilarious when people who don't have to worry about making a living tell us what we're doing wrong and how to fix it and surprisingly it's never FREE! I don't think I could afford to buy 100 supplements to take each day, not to mention the rest of his malarkey. If you want people to live longer, healthier, happier lives all you have to do is swallow your pride and admit that there are countries out there that are doing a better job for their citizens than the USA. Take a look at the Scandinavian countries that are already doing that. They provide healthcare from birth to death, a national retirement payment that allows you to live (not just survive - see social security), education through college or vocational/technical school, some include a per diam during college so you don't have to work so that you can concentrate on your education, government mandated vacation time, sick time, and holidays that follow you from job to job, paid maternity and paternity leave. And the push back is always that their tax rates are much higher than here in the USA. YES, they are, but they get so much more for their tax money. So much so, that they are happy with their education, jobs, healthcare, and in general their lives. The STRESS levels of the average person are so much lower because they don't have to worry about these things. All you have to do is look at medication as a guide. When a pharmaceutical company creates a new medicine they charge through the nose for it to help pay the research costs. So if a treatment is developed that will slow again do you think you'll be able to go down to the local drug store and buy it for less than $10. No, of course not. The only people that will be able to afford it are the Millionaires.
Money isn't stopping you from eating less and healthier, exercising more and controlling your sleep better - nothing of this is expensive and all is very beneficial to your health. He has said again and again that you don't have to follow everything that he does but these three simple steps are the most important in what he does.
But does he actually "live"? his obsession with health has deprived him of enjoying living. Paradoxically he'll outlive many and at the same time have no life while doing it.
I think he still lives. This has opened him up to meet people like Steve Aoiki, and he’s doing what interests him. Many people work an office job that they hate for their entire life
if life worth living sacrificing so much of the enjoyment? is our only purpose to advance our species and deprive ourselves of the experience that is life?
Yea, in our 30-day experiment we had a similar question. Eating the same thing everything got so boring. The results were great after 30 days though, so we took some of what worked as continued habits, and left out the stuff that wasn't enjoyable.
I'm guessing if you asked him Brian would agree with me that I don't mind dying but I don't want it to be my fault. I don't want to regret on my deathbed that I didn't do what I could to extend my lifespan and my health span.
Lots of hate here, and it's sickening how people can look at this and say things like "oh, he's so horrible, this guy is disgusting, he needs Jesus, not child blood." So allow me to say something here: Many of us are so much worse than this guy, and if we had all our actions revealed to us, we would be ashamed beyond shame. And I can only assume he got consent from his son about the transfusion thing. This guy may be using an algorithm or pre-determined program to help improve his health, but he's also doing it with intention. Many religions say things along the lines of "don't sin," and yet people use the same excuse to justify sin. "Oh, you're not living if you don't sin a little, so eat drink and be merry for tomorrow we die, and it will be well with us. But oh, I don't wanna be religious because then I gotta follow all these rules." People, people, if you're so uptight about someone taking away their own free will, then maybe you should start interventions against drugs, alcohol, gambling, and EVERY OTHER KIND OF ADDICTION, that is objectively worse, as they also contribute to health problems, and mental problems. Plus, intolerances "remove" some of these choices anyway. He can choose to stop at any time. But he's decided that he's not going to stop. Ever. And the best part: he's using the data he gets to help everyone else. So maybe instead of hating against this one rich guy that is helping humanity, we can focus that mental energy on something else, like how to improve our neighborhoods.
100% on the target with everything you said. One thing that is completely lost in the story is Bryan's son is the one who proposed the blood donation. When Bryan made the choice to donate blood to his father, Bryan's son wanted to participate as well. The whole nature of the idea was twisted by the media and the public. Bryan is the first and only public figure I've actually looked up to in a long time.
Love him, but he has already though played and won the "status game thing" by becoming so rich, so it's easy for him to opt out now for something else.
You live in a world and interact with it no matter how rich you are. So you are exposed to polution, pesticide, etc... even if you buy your food and buy organic and blablabla you will always be exposed to bad things...
You don't have to eat like him. Just approximate. Buy bulk chickpeas, lentils. Frozen broccoli, berries. If you skip beef, pork, fish, and dairy you already save enough money because those tend to be expensive.
How do I access this algorithm (assuming it's paired with ai?), how do I install it, how do I start? Can I have it on my device and it does everything for me (wake me up, tell me exactly what to do on every instance)? Can I give it factors that make it personalized for me, and let it modify with time as I advance through my career?
He makes all of his findings and his protocol available for anyone who wants to read it at no charge . The supplements are expensive but the diet could actually save a lot of money from your food budget
I think it depends on a person's definition of living. So if you think living is using your freedom to eat what you enjoy and to relax a lot, then yeah, he doesn't really live. But if you think, as he does, that expanding the outer limits of what's possible is really living, then you'll think he's really living. Also, this video has made me want to eat everything he can't and take 3 naps.
I would like to make my best to not die as long as I can, but at some point I'm not a rich person that can allow myself to refuse going to a work and buying insane amount of supplements. Author of the video has a good idea of saving our lives from destructive behaviour, but not every human being can have same abilities as author does to make life better.
he's crazy if he thinks human nature will ever change.a leopard doesn't change it's spots.that's just naive .but i do agree with him that you should take good care of yourself.

@@karmicbreath What about the one that says if a diet is the correct one for a species, it won't require supplements to prevent serious illness? Cause cheetahs, if you give them meat, are fine. Bruce Lee experimented with all sorts of techniques to get strong and healthy but he died early. Just saying.
Extending life or slow aging, is something we know nothing about, but what is the end game ? You think you're going to live to 150y and feel like 30? Let's see.
Yes but Lee wasn't a billionaire with access to doctors who measured his fitness all the time as Bryan does.
Maybe he shouldn't have in his words, "destroyed (his) mind."
Algorithm: don't go to work it is ruining your mental and physical health.
Me: I have to, how do you think I pay for you.
Sure he MAY "increased his lifespan" but the time lost in doing so... Diet and exercise alone isn't enough.
Awesome video, found it just now
I'm all in and believe most of this... just a thought... Does Bryan looks like Data? from Star Trek
You mean an android lol
Blood transfusion from his son! 😮
Sounds lik excuses bra
Amen. Stress is a giant factor.
Well do u still enjoy life while working full time.
Well enjoying something is subjective..maybe he's happy in doing what he like...which is to live a long healthy life.
I think he still lives. This has opened him up to meet people like Steve Aoiki, and he’s doing what interests him. Many people work an office job that they hate for their entire life
Who are you to tell what's living
Yah. It's impractical 😂
"we know this about humans.." "when one human does this..." Um, well there it is. Alien or cyborg. You decide.
Death is staring his face, it looks like 😂
He’s gonna get to 130 and think fuck I’d rather be dead
lol
That would be in 2090. You have no idea what the state of technology would be then... because it would be so advanced
if life worth living sacrificing so much of the enjoyment? is our only purpose to advance our species and deprive ourselves of the experience that is life?
Yea, in our 30-day experiment we had a similar question.
Eating the same thing everything got so boring. The results were great after 30 days though, so we took some of what worked as continued habits, and left out the stuff that wasn't enjoyable.
You can find enjoyment in other activities, not only eating.
Say what you will about Bryan - if we didn't have people like him we'd still be living in caves
Plot twist: He gets hit by a bus and dies.
He's totally aware of this and has mentioned in an interview that life can often be so ironic and he might die in some silly accident.
I'm guessing if you asked him Brian would agree with me that I don't mind dying but I don't want it to be my fault. I don't want to regret on my deathbed that I didn't do what I could to extend my lifespan and my health span.
Cool stuff. He does remind me of the robot from alien series
This is very interesting but uuuhh, why dangle what finally appeared to be a thumb between the lady's legs at 11:34?
my body is the algorithm straight from the ether. this guy is a loon. death comes for us all. sweet peace.
Lots of hate here, and it's sickening how people can look at this and say things like "oh, he's so horrible, this guy is disgusting, he needs Jesus, not child blood."
So allow me to say something here: Many of us are so much worse than this guy, and if we had all our actions revealed to us, we would be ashamed beyond shame.
But oh, I don't wanna be religious because then I gotta follow all these rules."
People, people, if you're so uptight about someone taking away their own free will, then maybe you should start interventions against drugs, alcohol, gambling, and EVERY OTHER KIND OF ADDICTION, that is objectively worse, as they also contribute to health problems, and mental problems.

You don't have to eat like him. Just approximate. Buy bulk chickpeas, lentils. Frozen broccoli, berries.
If you skip beef, pork, fish, and dairy you already save enough money because those tend to be expensive.
Eating clean is actually less expensive than the average diet

This guy spends so much time trying not to die, that he doesn't really live
incorrect: he's clearly having fun doing all this. he's living a life where he does what he wants and has fun doing it: trying to hack death.

Not all humans will choose this lifestyle, not all, not ever.
I would like to make my best to not die as long as I can, but at some point I'm not a rich person that can allow myself to refuse going to a work and buying insane amount of supplements. Author of the video has a good idea of saving our lives from destructive behaviour, but not every human being can have same abilities as author does to make life better.

Vegan, not vegetarian. And he's absolutely making the right choice based on both sound moral logic and reliable science. There is not one single argument against veganism that isn't intellectually dishonest. We've heard them all.

I've done the homework in youtube comments enough times that I'm not going to find and link all the studies like I usually do. But widespread systematic studies show that the more dependent a society is on meat, the more sick that society. In case you didn't take an introductory logic class in formal education, I will explain there are these things called fallacies. They are arguments people use that are not actually logical.
For example, I can easily ask you right now what your area of deep expertise is. Is it biology? Is it nutrition? Is it longevity science? Given how "pale" is evidence to you of unhealthy, I will guess that you are not a trained doctor or scientist. But to use this as an excuse to dismiss anything you say would not actually be logical.
So with that, let me spell it out for you. Appeal to nature and the behavior of animals is not logical. Nor is the appeal to ancestry, culture, the limited options of deserted islands, the hunting needs of indigenous tribes, or the unintentional deaths of land animals from growing plant crops (over 75% of which are produced to feed livestock.)
Again, to beat a dead horse, but there is ZERO logically sound argument that justifies participating in unnecessary harm and death towards sentient beings with the capacity for fear, pain, and trauma.
It's perfectly your right to reject this. Just know that if you do, we both know it's not because you are right to do so. It's because you have a cognitive dissonance and no amount of reason or truth will persuade you to do the right thing.
