    Great video and info! How do you get that heat wrap wrapped around the pipe being so tight.

    Just bought one this past September. Injectors went out 3 weeks after I bought it. Thankfully I got a extended warranty with it. I bought a bull dog lift pump immediately. Still at the stealership though they been dragging it along.

      Good call on the lift pump, I did the same for my LB7. When you finally get your injectors back, performing a diesel purge every once in a while will help keep your injectors clear of carbon as well as freshen up your fuel lines. Come peep my channel if you wants tips on performing a diesel purge. Best of luck and congrats on getting an LB7!!!

    Good video , thanks. I decided to restore my dad's 2001 3500 . Was wondering if it's worth it. I want to keep stock horse power ..

    How do you feel about the fuel pressure relief valve block off plug ? Been thinking about doing that, do you know of any issues with them ?

    • @DutchCreekReplicas
      @DutchCreekReplicas  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      On the LLY is the fuel pressure relief valve blocker plug seems to work really good for prevents the fuel rail from limping because once that spring is activated it seems to limp easier

      As far as I know the plug came on trucks 2004.5 to 2010.

    Me after I installed an Air dog on me 03 Duramax and left the stock fuel filter housing on, I was 8 hours from home my fuel filter housing left me stranded for a few hours couldn't figure out why my truck wouldn't stay running for more than a few seconds later found out it had a hairline crack in it replaced it, not long after it started to leak as well so i just did away with it for good and not had a problem since then. Really you don't need to have 3 filters on your truck If you often change your filters, you shouldn't have problems like me I change mine every 15K miles

    The transmission going on limp mode is not a problem its designed like that to save the engine or transmission from damage.

    A question
    When I drive LB7 on the road, temperature of engine is fine with a truck camper on its bed and a jeep pulled behind. But I drive the truck with the same setup on uphill, the engine Temperature goes high. Sometimes, I have to stop to cool the engine off. I am planning to replace two thermostats soon because I had a similar experience with my jeep. Is that what you would recommend me to do?
    Mine is 2003 Duramax. It's mileage is 140,000. I replaced all the fuel injectors. There is no other issue with this truck other than driving uphill with a camper on its bed and a jeep pulled behind. Any recommendations to consider?

    Will a 3 inch down pipe help with the heat

    • @KooshdaakaaGarage
      @KooshdaakaaGarage 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes it does! I'd start with a 4 or 5 inch exhaust with a high flow muffler or straight pipe, that made a huge difference with my LB7. Come peep my channel if you want to hear what the 4" MBRP sounds like on a LB7.

    how do you control the tunes through the edge?

    • @DutchCreekReplicas
      @DutchCreekReplicas  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reese LB7 When you get if I live flashed Into the computer of the truck you have the option of a DSP five switch or you can use the insight go to the settings and turn EFI live on and it should control it if it’s not hooked up to a DSP five switch already. If it’s hooked up to the DSP five I don’t believe it will work on the edge . Hope this helps
