I recommend this unit .to anyone that wants quality, built ..quite running..made in the USA..no china. Here.my son will own this some day it will out last both of us..this is a good unit for a one man shop..to run tools. Mine a 3hp. But is also sold to run a 5hp.motor..as well. This Drew's only 30 amps at start up..runs around 18 amps running amps..
Great video, I love how you went all out in speccing options, I have the same mentality on these types of things. I was able to remove my dessicant dryer with how effective the aftercooler setup is.
Ty ..I live in hot sunny fl..the after cooler made sense, when it 100 out side plus..love Saylor-beall products..I looked at 2 major companies that build in the USA. Champion and Quincy..as well. Made to order was easy..with Saylor-beall..the other 2 ..companies were harder to deal with ..and I spoke to the factory super..at Saylor-beall..I he agreed with the heat down hear ..they sent me a gal of oil ..belts and air filters..at there cost..with my unit..couldn't turn it down.....I delt with pacific air comprsoirs in Oregon. Mike H. Great customer service..
Very nice compressor! I bought an eighty gallon IR from TSC in Feb 2022 and at the time I was looking at Saylor-Beall and Champion but I just didn't want to spend upwards of $3,000. Plus, I wasn't sure how to have it shipped without a truck that had a lift gate. I'm sure that would've been at least another $200. So that's why I bought the IR from TSC. I wanted a S-B because of how quiet they run as well as how satisfying they are to listen to. My IR isn't bad and it works well for my needs, but if it breaks after the warranty runs out, I'll be shopping for this particular Saylor-Beall. Thanks for sharing the video! You've got one sweet machine!
Something to consider is to install a water filter/separator between the aftercooler and the tank to catch most of the water before it goes into the tank. I have a USA made Quincy QT-54 with the Baldor motor. Now the pumps have been outsourced to China and some of the motors are China motors as well. Glad I bought mine while they were still USA made. I installed an aftercooler with a fan that turns on/off when the compressor turns on/off. It does very well to cool the air and separate the water out. I installed an auto-drain as well. I installed a magnetic motor starter and an hour gauge too.
I went with a 3.hp. due to the fact it drewsconly 30amps start up..16 running..it gives me plenty of air for a one man shop..I have a 80 gal storage tank.from an old unit..I can charge up..for big project s..its a good unit..
I bought a 1969 John Wood tank, 5HP 220V Balador, 705 pump about 30 years ago. Aside from replacing the drain and blow off valves for insurance, Start cap was only part that broke. Only changed the oil once. Kept it in a shed outside during the cold winters. Still strong. Best investment I ever made. We call her "Ole' Betsy"
If your looking for a great air comprsoir..American made..H.D. industrial..look no further..it will cost some heavy, pocket change..but worth it if your a somone who want quality..a quite running unit..for some serious work..but a lifetime unit for me..NO CHINA..here.. this was my first choice this co.been building these since..the being of time in Michigan
I have owned a 705 for 40 years. Awesome compressor.
Great video👍 One nice piece of machinery. It does sound very quiet.

Very nice. For my needs I'm happy with my upright Eagles but this is definitely an elegant lifetime machine.
Amazing machine. Just curious why you went with a 3hp instead of a 5hp?
