- More from the archive featuring a selection of diesel workings primarily in South Devon and along the seawall in Dawlish. There is a brief shot shown of Taunton but felt it was in keeping with the rest of the archive cine so I've left it in. The year was 1976.
Enjoy!

Thanks for watching.
So many memories of 1976 trains through Dawlish - and the motorail!
There are some impressively long trains there.
When many things were 100 times as enjoyable.
Love the sound of the 52s
how fondly I remember the summer saturdays in devon... the 46s and 52s pottering about in Goodrington sidings, various classes storming the banks... and a solitary tear trickles down my cheek
what is that first carriage @1:58?
A Gresley buffet car I believe
@@foretrak wow! thanks. I didn't want to say it but the lines... I never knew/thought any of them made it into corporate blue & grey. I would have got into a fight over that 🤣

Pretty sure these are before 1976 too.
I may be wrong, but was this 1976 as none of the Westerns shown have had their headcode panel wound round to their loco number?
According to his notes, although they could be wrong
Amazed to see a CL50 @ 1:33 😮 When did they move down from the WCML?
74/75 I think after the wires were up to Glasgow and they were largely displaced by the new class 87s
