Great video! Just wondering, can one NOT panning on becoming a professional massage therapist attend massage therapy school? (For the purpose of learning how to massage for friends and family)
Hi @Samuel Cohen, thank you! Of course you can go through the massage therapy program without wanting to be a 'professional' or becoming licensed! Everyones why, reason, and journey is special specifically to them & yours to you! I hope this helps, thanks for being here & best of luck! Hannah
What state are you in? I am in New York and the only way to get into a certified program is by going back to college and taking other required general education classes. Is it the same for you or are you only taking a 1000hr program required by the MBLEx??
@Rando 2K I’m in Ohio! I believe the only requirement, at least for my school is a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) The requirement in Ohio just lowered to 650 from 750. I’m finishing the 750 hour program! I hope this helps! Hannah
Hi @Anita Trump ! I am not a nurse, I thought nursing was the path for me at the time right after high school. I worked as a CNA in hospice home health for 4 years! Thankfully, I took a different direction & found my purpose through massage therapy years later!
@@its.misshannah Hi Hannah I love your channel I too am a CNA wanted to go to LPN school and just decided I wanted to do something totally different . My point is once I graduated do you think a MT makes decent money once I get my experience also how much clients do you recommend per day .
@@maggie3315 thank you 😊 I do think anyone can make a sustainable career of massage therapy. There is a very high demand for massage therapists right now, which is a benefit to us because we can negotiate our pay! That’s one way to look at it. For example, The start hourly pay for MT at a massage envy is more than I ever made as a CNA. This will of course vary on what you want to do afterwards but yes I do think it massage therapist makes good money. Right now my max hands on is 4 hours (4 clients) as I build more endurance for doing massage I will up that number to about five clients per day. Until I feel my body can handle more! I hope this helps!
Trail Guide has its own two sets of flash cards to buy that are so helpful, especially if your school uses the Trail Guide textbook!
Amazing video! Keep on doing you we love you and appreciate you!
Thank you so much!
I love you Han! Amazing video 💛

Or will you not be accepted if you don't plan on going into the massage therapy business?
