The beautiful part of your story was how you said some people are touch deprived, and when they’re in a safe place with a safe masseuse, they can release so much of that stress that they’ve been caring for so many years

Thank you for this video! Im about to enter my senior year and I’m trying to find a carrier that catches my attention and being a massage therapist seems to be what I’m heading towards! So far my plan would be to major in business after high school and then attend the massage therapist program

I’ve been highly considering going to school but don’t want to be too overwhelmed with the class work; Do you have any recommendations on books I could study to have general knowledge of what is going to be taught in class? So thankful I found your videos to give more insight on what it’s really like!!

Hmmm I’ll have to do more research on this. But maybe like basic anatomy books. Or like those coloring books where you color in the specific bone or muscle would be helpful! I had a book like this in class.
But you’ll learn everything in school and it’s honestly not that overwhelming at all!

Thank you so much for your videos, you've given me so much insight and inspiration for my future career! Im planning to apply to some schools this year once my lease is up on my place. There is only one public college offering the RMT course so im a bit nervous to be accepted, but im excited!

Im thinking of getting a certified massage therapy course, just trying to get information about the subject. I have a question if there are any types of massages that dont require a lot of hard pressing on the body but are still effective. Im worried about hurting my hands after years of doing intense work with my hands.

I have really small hands 😅would my massage still be effective to my patients?

I have small hands too! So that shouldn’t matter. It’s all about technique and body mechanics ☺️

Yeah some programs cost more depending on how much they teach their students! As far as different modalities

2:05 I attended a trade school during the pandemic. We were viewing lectures at home 65% of the time. We did do breathwork on the days that we met.
7:09 I did not meet people similar to me. I couldn’t relate to anyone in my class.
7:53 There AREN’T very many options for men. Those men who are masseurs are the VERY few lucky ones.
10:58 This was not required at my school. This would have been useful in my case in order to find employment.
12:10 ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE AT MY SCHOOL! MY SCHOOL DOES NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ITS STUDENTS!! I attended CHAC in California. Avoid it!!!
12:41 My experiences have been terrible. I regret wasting my money in another for-profit vocational “school.”

Can you please stop calling Massage Therapy a Program? Massage Therapy is a Practice. It is medicinal. The father of medicine is Hypocrites. He too would cringe with that word: “Program."
