    this is helpful cause my 02 5 speed e46 touring just died and needs an engine swap and im thinking of doing an s54 swap cause im not ready to let it go. i love my wagon

    I personally think this wagon would be perfect with OEM ZHP wheels. The 18" OEM M3 wheels don't poo. Pretty bland.

    • @TenzaMotorsports
      @TenzaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      We wanted to put a touch of M on the outside. Plus we already had these wheels.

    I was waiting for the video/installation of the rear bumper adapters. Did you install them? If so, how did they work out? I know this is old, but you should still make a video regarding it. Thanks!

      @TenzaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ended up not having to use the brackets. I rolled the fenders enough to get those tires to fit. I just loosened up the original bumper mounts and was able to pull them about a 1/4 inch.

    Is anything reusable for a 330ci owner? Or am I starting from scratch?

  • @nate3231
    @nate3231 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I recently bought new side skirt clips for my 330ci and now I want to do it for my bumpers how did you get such a good fitment with you bumper and wheel wells? my bumper is sagging on the corners where it meets up with the fenders… do you know what I need to get them to fit better on the sides? Sorry for the long winded question

    • @TenzaMotorsports
      @TenzaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      Fitment is not easy but it’s also not hard. You can replace the plastic mounts front and rear. That’s where I’d start. And if your bumpers sag there is very minor adjustments on those mounts.

    I know this is years old, but i am curious where you got the front bumper protector strip as well as rear, in that gloss black ? I am trying to find it for my wagon and i cannot for the life of me find it listed part wise for sale

    • @TenzaMotorsports
      @TenzaMotorsports  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s funny how few people have commented on the gloss black trim. Most of comments I get, people don’t like it, which is crazy to me!I had it done custom had to buy a couple new pieces because the scratches and gouges were too deep in the plastic. I think with a few replacement pieces and the shop painting them it was around 600 bucks

      @@TenzaMotorsports wow really ? I think it looks classy on the white, and bet it would look decent on the jet black as well. Thank you for the reply though its much appreciated

      Yes, it would look super clean on jet black. I reply to every question I get! Leaving questions unanswered on a diy channel is super inconsiderate and unclassy in my opinion. Thanks for the sub!

    why would you buy a full m3 car to swap it into a wagon? :/
    it'd be easier to simply buy an engine wouldnt it?

    • @TenzaMotorsports
      @TenzaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely not easier. And much more expensive - S54 engine cost $5500-9000 we paid 6500 for the whole car.
      Then we'd have to get
      engine cooling and missing parts - $1,800-2,500
      Transmission - $1,500-3,000
      Pedals - $200+
      Drive shaft - $250+
      rear subframe - $1,500-3,000
      front subframe - $500+
      wheels - $750-1,200
      seats - $550-1000
      steering wheel - $150-500

      @@TenzaMotorsports i totally understand that. but i just dont understand why you would take a perfectly good s54 out of an m3 :(
      and don't get me wrong, i love Tourings, i have one in Queensland of all places. but i just don't see the point.
      mostly seen s54's go into wagons or non m3 cars over here because the m3 is a wreck.
      im loving your build mate, i just couldn't wrap my head around it haha but i would love an s54 :o

    • @TenzaMotorsports
      @TenzaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It wasn’t a perfectly good M3. This M3 was wrecked. If the damage would have been taken to insurance they probably would have totaled the car. Had a broken wheel, needed a new hood, new front bumper, new fender, new side skirt, new suspension, strut tower bar, front control arm, tie rod end, and a new clutch. Other various damage would have us $8k at least to fix. If you haven’t seen the beginning of this build you should.

    why you not showing it from the back at all?

    • @TenzaMotorsports
      @TenzaMotorsports  ปีที่แล้ว

      The b-roll you see in this video was recorded while sitting in the back of the camera car. Makes it basically impossible to see the rear of the wagon while driving around.
      This video here shows a bunch of the rear

      They are depo headlights and the side markers are just a random set from Amazon. I’ll try to find a link.

    in this pristine condition like you have its going for high teens...... Wide body and perfect 25k and up......Average condition 15k max

      How much they sell for and how much they cost to build are two different numbers. This one I built for a customer sold for just under 25k no wide body. It wasn’t perfect but it was close.
