@@michaelhall736 well I knew that. I meant racing games like Forza, Project Cars, and maybe Forza Horizon. Forza Motorsport 1-3 (and maybe 4) has the racing Supras.
Those Supra’s were my car of choice on the original Gran Tourismo 😍

@@MiguelGarcia-vj7oo 2000s gt1 is better than 90s gt1, and both of those eras were barely GT racing, they were basically just purpose built prototypes that they said were GTs. And group 5 looks sick but doesn't sound nearly as good as dbr9 c6r murcialago 550 gt1

Fun fact: Most supra in GT 500 series use 3S-GTE instead of traditional 2JZ and place engine close to center as much as possible.

@@izeksharma2952 well here's another fact. Manufacturers were bitching about Toyota saying they were cheating with these cars so the minimum weight requirement was increased. Instead of going back to a 2jz every team just added random bullshit like the denso sard's power windows. I heard it was literally ounces over the minimum.

@@4touchdowns1game29 another random fact is that those supras actually tested in Europe during BPR series, with le Mans winner JJ lehto and were super uncompetitive...... It was actually very embarrassing.... There's a quote from JJ stating they were complete POS, drive like a FWD car.............
Aw yes, the Castrol Tom's Supra, king of the GT cars. 👑 And my favorite car in the entire Gran Turismo series. There's a reason why they kept using the Supra all the way till 2007 well after it was discontinued, because that's how good it was. They did the same with the NSX as well.
Despite the additional weight , Mclaren F1 GTR stil outperformed many GT cars in 1996 season in term of top speed

Maybe not as many crowds but classic scene is still booming, my dad got me into it from when I was young and drives a mk 2 escort track car but the only reason there’s not many anymore is cause there’s no parts :(

Super GT/GT500/GT300
The class in this video is the equivalent of Super GT500 today.
This racing series is JGTC, renamed since 2004 to Super GT which still runs today.
The Supra, The Skyline GTR and the NSX are in the GT500 Class, which the technical regulations has changed since 2014 to Class One reg, combining it with the german DTM.

smaller unit, lighter, & better weight distribution.
Also, it is not an usual 3S-GTE, it is 503E engine, based from IMSA GTP engine which could produce 800+ hp in full blown trim

High speed ring is inspired by the pre-2005 Fuji speedway. Seems to be licensing or something, like i should have known that it's not just the cars that need to be licensed by racing video games
