This bass is a beast. I love it! Real rockin' bass. I love this bass for hard rock and blues rock

I've been playing that bass with Labella flats for a year now. Man, it's a whole new world. You name it... Motown, blues, good old rock n roll, jazz standarts. It gives a real vintage vibe to that kind of music.

What gauge Labella flats do you use?

I have labella’s on my 2 Gibson sg basses they sound good, you can put the labella deep talking bass short scale 760FS-S .045-.065-.085-.105 or you can put labella 760FHBB .050-.065-.080-.100 for Beatles bass both work good.

It's not a bass meant for "slapping". However, if you're looking for the deepest tones imaginable from a four string bass, then this is the one you need. It's absolutely amazing and a pleasure to play!

I played one of these today, in my local guitar shop. It was sensationally good.
Don’t be put off by the various ‘copy’ versions; go for the real thing and you’ll probably be very impressed.

My first bass was a 1966 Gibson EB-O in 1976. Still have the bass but dont play out with it anymore.Great for Classic Rock and blues with its big Mudbucker at the neck position is supper low and just love it.

Nice playing and demo. Love that bridge pickup. Yes, I had about 4 EB3’s as well as multiple Fenders, Stingrays, Sterlings and an Ibanez ATK which was like an EB3 and stayed in tune abit more. Now, I have a burgundy Warwick Jack Bruce Survivor bass which is huge. Would consider getting this SG bass just to play Sweet Wine from Live Cream. What this bass allows you to do is bend strings. Bend to the ‘’blue note”, bend to the octave from the 7th pushing against the fret, like Jack Bruce did in West, Bruce & Laing and Live Cream. Very nice for power trio jamming.

Anthony Pecora, what you are experiencing when you say you "see the note" is not stupidity, it's called "synesthesia" and a very small percentage of humans experience this. I am also one of those. Look deeper into it and you'll appreciate what a gift it is. Peace!

I have both. I prefer my Gibson because it feels more comfortable. I play 50s 60s rock and some 50s to 70s country for the most part. The Mustang sounds good for that music too but the Gibson fits me better. Hope that helps. 🎶
