Some fantastic Moog synthesizing. Every voice is well programmed and indeed manages to simulate a realistic brass ensemble, unlike many awful copycats common at the time. Moonlight Serenade is by far my favorite and it's pretty faithful to the original Glenn Miller arrangement. Overall, a great Moog-craze era record. One has to wonder how many good ones remain undiscovered..

I think it comes down to a combination of Mr. Taylor having a long career as a bandleader beforehand, and releasing on Cozy Records making the financial incentive a lot lower as there was no chance of getting real traction on this label owned by the Solo Cup company. I genuinely have no idea how this copy made its way to me, but I'm glad it did!
As for how many gems remain: impossible to know, but I bet you there's a lot of them in Japan. Once Tomita imported the first one and taught so many how to use it, a wave of creativity was unleashed onto a music scene that already had experience with synthesizers via the Electone.
