First, Welcome back we have missed your vids. Second, Thanks for what you do. As a rescue photographer. We always need more good souls. Great video thanks, Although I have left canon for Sony I have found the 28-75 Tamron and the Sony 70-200 F4 to be the best for what I do with the rescues. Also Sony Animal Eye AF is flat out an amazing game changer. I messed up and used a friends A7iii and found I had ZERO desire to go back to the 5diii. :) Thanks for the videos, please dont be such a busy stranger :)
Thanks Rubi. I have a few more videos lined up ready to edit and hope to make more soon. If you have any suggestions about what you would like me to do let me know!
I have thought about jumping ship too.....but I have faith that when the canon mirroless 1Dx equivalent comes out it will be everything we need.....fingers crossed!
Many thanks for taking the time to make the vlog the 35mm was great but the 135mm looked amazing as well if I got that close to my Gsd he would putting his down and wanting to play ! I envy you what a fantastic way to spend a few hours
Yeah the 135 is stunning....I just prefer to be able to see a bit more of my background. The 135 blurs everything so well that I might as well be in a factory rather than a lakeside. If that's the look I am going for then I certainly take the 135.
My favorite combination used to be a 70-200mm f/4 on a full frame camera but, now my favorite combination is a Sony APSC mirrorless (A6400 or 6600) and the Tamron 28-75mm...
i love the 70-200 2.8 - its heavy - but the image quality is wow! its also my 1st ever L lens. so i am biased. I so want to try the 16-35 too. lovely video - thanks
Hey Bhavesh. My70-200 had a little issue I think and I wasn't getting the sharpness I expected. Hopfeully I have fixed it so might change my mind in the next few shoots.
i am just starting up in pet photography and thinking of getting the Tamron 28-75 2.8 as i do not have the money for a 70-200 would the 28-75 be good enough for portraits and running shots please
Nice video mate! Hope your keeping well. I have a Sony a6300 and my current set up is sigma 16mm f1.4 and 70-350mm. I'm looking to get either the sigma 30mmf1.4 or the 55mmf1. 4 for the portraits, but I'm a little stuck on which one to go with. Any advice?
I've taken a few thousand pictures of my dog using the 100mm macro lens with no issues of it focusing too slowly. Moose moves around plenty, just make sure the focus limiter is set to "0.5m-infinity" and not "full"
Nice channel you got there. Good work. I left a sub. For me my setup for pets works for the moment. I shoot with a Sony A7RIII and a Sigma 24-70 2.8 / Sigma 100-400. On my bucket list is a 35mm, a 70-200 2.8 and the Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro. But I have to earn some money first ;-)
Please help me!!! I bought a Sony Alpha 6400, and now I need lenses!! My budget is not big, but I need 1 lens to start. I was thinking getting 35mm 1.8 and then I come across macro lens!! I need a lens that will be good for my cat videos and pictures, but most important to take pictures of my husband artwork, both to add pictures to his website but also to make prints! So should I go for the macro lenses here? Thank you ☺️
Nice to see you back enjoyed watching some of your previous vids 👍

I prefer the Canon 85 mm f1.4 IS lens on my 5DIII's.

Really enjoyed the video and very informative! so thank you sir! :)

I cant advise really. Both are great lenses. My favourite is the 35 canon so the 30 sigma might be just about perfect?
I do not like wide angle lenses for dog portraits or for human portraits for that matter. I like my 70-200mm f/4 and 28-75mm f/2.8 Tamron.
The 100 mm macro focuses too slow for dog photography
