that achievement is also easier than it seems because you only need to control the cities, you dont need to own them. like in my run turkey was in the allies, but i only needed to take ankara and the achievement was done

That is why many ppl use exploits to make the game easier (civil war, etc ) because they can not afford to play normally since the game would go til 48 and the pc would go KA BOOM
I love how Volgograd was changed back to Tsaritsyn. During the Russian Civil War, the White Army captured this important, symbolic city as a staging ground for a march towards Moscow. The White Army wasn’t the best, but they needed to hold this city in order for such an attack. Had they defended the city, it would have been possible that the Whites could stage an assault on Moscow, and had the Reds lost, most likely Stalin would have faced consequences since he was in charge of the operation. God I love this game and Battlefield 1 lol
The Moscow Directive, the planned White offensive on Moscow failed mostly because the army decided to push into Ukraine instead of directly marching on the capital. While Ukraine provided the Whites with more grain, industry and manpower, it also stretched their lines further and provided them with more enemies to fight via the Anarchist "Black" Army.
When I tried to do the tsarists, USSR joined Japan and commie China and since the civil war technically hadn’t ended (even though I controlled all of Russia) nationalist movements still rose up within my territory which Iowas really annoying

Hoi4 must have an mechanic where if your fighting an long scale war like Asia vs Bolivia, you should just peace out It doesn't make sense for Paraguayans to think "OMG THE RUSSIAN CIVIL WAR IS THE BIGGEST THREAT TO OUR GLORIOUS NATION"
Yeah it does have a mechanic for that its called major vs minor nations. The problem is the checks for what makes a country a major are broken and fucking stupid, paraguay should not be able to become a major at any point in the game
They need a setting for Frontline now where you can click a state and just not have troops go in that state. Because why must I micro my Frontline to ignore northern Russia

Just so you understand, if you build up loyalist forces and build supply hubs in places where the partisans are gonna be, you will get a chance to conquer everyone quickly. I controlled every single victory point because I just had a huge force ready
the best time I got for the civil war was around september 1937, I deleted the russian army before the war, saved up some cavalry, got as far west as I could before the war, and snaked to every vp I could with the cavalry
