  • Hi everyone! Long time no see ☺️ There has been a lot going on in the studio including major rebranding, but I am finally back with another step by step macrame tutorial! This time you can learn how to make a small abstract wall hanging from scratch.
I forgot to mention in the video that I am using 4 mm single twist cotton cord. Braided one should work just as fine 😊
If you are not familiar with the techniques used in the video, below are some of my other tutorials that can be helpful. You can as well ask me a question in the comments, Instagram DMs or e-mail!

Hi. Great tutorial, thank you for uploading. How do you stop your final knot from coming loose. Thank you

    Thanks for sharing!
And I have a little trouble with the work…when I use single strand twist cotton ropes, it’s hard to make them arranged orderly. Ropes are so easy to loose😅
Could you give me some guidance about it?

That is unfortunately a downside of single twist cords😅 probably double checking every next cord when you knot is helpful, as well as stopping every few rows to cut off ends that you don't need, so that they are not in your way. If you have trouble with single twist cords unravelling, try to twist them in their natural direction before tying every knot. I hope that helps😊

Hi! I’m new to your page and macramé! I’m curious, what type of cord are you using? I’m trying to better understand the different sizes and twists to the cord. Thanks

Hi and welcome!😊 most often I use 4mm or 5mm cotton cord. I personally prefer braided cord (it is easier to work with), but in this particular video I am using single twist cord. I have a separate video explaining different types of cords if you are interested! You can find it in my Macrame playlist, it is called "How to plan macrame projects"
