I am the same, I only really get back into studying Japanese if I have a trip planned. Just so I can feel comfortable booking things and checking into hotels etc.

this is kind of a cozy game? I know nothing about that style or genre but reminds me the sensation I feel when I play Refind Self and Kind Words, are you tried those games? Kind Words is specially amazing and sometimes overwhelming maybe one of my new favorite games, but maybe will be wrong to name it a game its more like a social experiment with user interface and writing involved

I personally wouldn't put it into the cosy genre, as it is mostly a card based game which has you answer a quiz to make moves. For me the cosy game genre are games that don't require much effort to play and often have cute graphics. This game is more of a learning tool than anything else. I have heard of those two games, have not played them before. They look cool though.
