The Jumpman Classic was a separate all-star game the other day. Philon played for Link Academy in Missouri and they beat Sherrell and Reid's Prolific Prep squad. Link Academy finished #2 in America behind only undefeated Montverde. (Cooper Flagg, Liam McNeeley, etc)
As Saban said….the players can transfer but the coaches can bring in transfers too. It works both ways.

Probably won’t start over Braiksford and he doesn’t want to wait to his senior year to get one shot. Imagine he gets injured next year as a senior so he had no real chance to show off his talents for the nfl. Players will probably wait 2 years without starting. Maybe 3-4 years if you’re very lucky so it isn’t crazy.
@GrayGamer I understand, and I wish him the best. He could have easily left along with his twin brother a couple of years ago, but he stayed and appeared to be seriously challenging to win the starter spot this year. It just seemed to come out of nowhere.
@@RodCowellI mean you have 4 or 5 years max to make it to the league. At some point, you need to do what is best for you because you only have a small window to make it to the NFL. It is not about paying dues and such but it is kids making their dream come true.
Didn't Bama have centers on roster before Landon Dickerson transferred in?? And he transferred during fall camp.
James obviously knew that he was going to have to beat out someone who was a better player than he is im not saying James won't be a starter somewhere else but he was going to have to compete don't matter how long you have been playing for a team because players leave on a dime so play the best players not because you really like someone better as a person those days are over.

A couple of things. IF you dont think CKD,Coach Kap,and the rest dont have a plan.? And JB's roster spot and schollie is part of the plan? I believe you are a fool. I would be willing to bet we bring in 2 SEC-Ready O-Linemen by June 1 ready to compete,and we already KNOW who they are. Whether they are in the Portal yet or by Tuesday PM...IF you follow THE TIDE you realize,with the addition of KP,and the hope that PB will be around,that we now have 13 O-Linemen(With JBrock's departure)....15 will be a GOOD number with the correct versatility...
Without discussing other departures and guys we bring in? We will have numerous guys repping at Center ALL summer....And to say that Parker Brailsford only missed 5-6 practices this Spring is misinformation. He missed MUCH more time than that...
Brockermeyer got screwed! He paid his dues for 4 years. Automatic starter without having to compete in spring??? It's not a good look, in my opinion!
That’s not how this went down imo! Doboer isn’t promising a starting job to Brailsford or Brockermeyer, sure he told them they both will play at some point and the best guy will be the starter! I suspect a different staff tampered with James and lured him away with the promise of a nice check and guaranteed starting job!
