  • In Jewelry Making, headpins are often used to create earring dangles that feature beads or gemstones.
    They can also be used to create bead or charm links using a wire wrapping technique.
    Thread your bead or charm onto the headpin so that it gently rests at the head of the pin.

    I absolutely love this! I just started making earrings and I don’t like the premade head pins. This adds so much more personality to the jewelry as well! Thank you!

    Thank you. These are great. By the way, to restaighten your wire after doing the knotted head pin, try pulling your nylon pliars along the length of the wire you want to straighten. It works. Someone else taught it in another video.

    Thank you for this easy to follow video. I just learned 2 new head pin designs and love the trefoil headpin. I can see using these on bead dangles. I am new to all of the bead & Wire work so this really helps. ☺♥

    The "Egyptian" is more like a larger eyepin 🙂. The one before that, the triangle headpin would be nice to add thing's to like charms and various types of beads.

    Totally new to all of this. This video is so, so helpful! This might be a silly question, but -- is it ok to use chain nose pliers that have that "spikey" ripple surface on the inside, as opposed to smooth like these? Will that cause marks in the wire?

    • @VaidehisHandmadeVHM
      @VaidehisHandmadeVHM  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your feedback. I tried using the same but it scratches the wire. I would recommend using flat chain nose plier to avoid scratches. HTH.

    could you use these techniques with a thicker wire to make hair pins? i really like some of these designs and im not really inclined to wear any other sort of jewelry i was wondering it if is worth the effort of trying?

    • @VaidehisHandmadeVHM
      @VaidehisHandmadeVHM  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Anita, thanks for your feedback. You can go for thicker wire until you can twist/bend/loop them. Also you have to use bigger hole beads.

    Yeah, but that's rather nascent, what I need to understand is how to
    make a real head-pin/pin-head, one which is hemispherical, like a
    rivet's head that's peened?
