Ultimate goal - max out both guns in one trip through. I’ve only managed it once without a ride stoppage.
I’ve read reports of another 100k target “at eye level on the left” as you exit “the second room” but I don’t know which target this is or even which room they are calling the “second”.
Who knows when I’ll get back to Florida to search for this elusive target.

Thank you so much, I got it yesterday at the park. It took 3 attempts, the first time I got 600,000. The second I got 936,200.And the third time I got 999,999. Thanks for these handy tips!
Thanks for the tips! My brother got 999,999 today after I shared these tips with him. They are no longer giving out the pins but we got a small sticker emblazoned with Buzz, the Star Command logo, the 999999 score, and the words “Galactic Hero”.
Watched this video before I went on the ride and got galactic hero before l left the volcano room.

@@SeekingTheMagical I know that this video is quite old. The thing is I live nowhere near America. Is this in Walt Disney world? Because we are going to Paris Disney land and I don't know if all of this will be true in other rides. Thanks
@@noelmet These tips are exclusively for the Walt Disney World version, the version in Paris is the same as the versions that are in California and Tokyo. The version that was replaced by a horrendous Ant-Man ride in Hong Kong was also the same as the versions in California, Tokyo, and Paris. Therefore, tips for any of these versions of the Buzz Lightyear ride will also apply to any other of these versions 😁! However, the versions of the Buzz Lightyear ride in Florida and Shanghai are completely different. Therefore, any tips for either of them can only be applied to themselves. I hope that this helps clarify everything for you 😃!

Yes, sadly the prize has changed a few times over the years, and we really, really want them to bring back the special buttons! I do like the option to put the sticker on an "I'm Celebrating!" button, but the customized buttons were the best. "Fellow Galactic Hero", I like that :) ...And with much thanks to your *excellent* video - which instigated a little shoulder-surfing as I watched it waiting for the Festival of Fantasy to start :) ...I have a guitar case (almost) covered in Disney stickers, so I am actually quite pleased that I got a sticker - but yes, the buttons (we use the word "badges" in the UK) are super cool ...I got one before (the large sticker which covers a "Celebrating" button), but only because the ride stopped for a bit - the CM who gave me that one actually got me to raise my hand and 'swore me in' "I ... ... ... TO INIFINITY ... AND BEYOND" - that was a wonderful Magic Moment :-D ... WORD OF WARNING: I actually took two photos and a little video of the "999999" - BOTH the photos showed a blank score (caused by the refresh-rate on the display) but fortunately the video showed the score /phew
Funny that I found this only because of the nostalgia I have of the ride. I think the best score I ever really got was a measly 176k, or ballpark there, but I was 4 so yeah. Awesome video over my split favorite ride (test track tie) as a kid, loved seeing all the stuffed I had forgotten. I remembered it as a Lilo and Stitch ride at first!
This was so helpful...but I’m not letting Gary watch this 🤣 He is desperate to get the top score and gets very competitive on this ride and will always let me get in first 🤔 he often spins the vehicle just as I’m aiming....so I’m keeping all these tips to myself for our next ride! Trust me, I totally get that! I believe in you, and I'm confident you can do it! Keep us posted and let me know if you have any questions. I will admit that I found out by accident that the target on the ceiling was worth 100,000 points years ago when I shot at it while watching my score. I didn't tell my husband for years either because I was so excited to finally beat him at a video game-like thing! Ha! That was long before I knew there were tricks and cheats out there so I still never made it close to 999,999 with just that one, but I did top him. You got this--you'll be a Galactic Hero before you know it!

I became a Galactic Hero on this ride a couple years back, though not in the way I expected. You see, being someone who has been on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin multiple times for over a decade (especially considering it's been my favorite Disney World ride ever since my 6th birthday), I eventually learned about the big targets hidden in the ride.
But here's the thing, though; on the day I became a Galactic Hero, the ride temporarily stopped not long after I entered the Planet Z room, allowing me to shoot at the top of the volcano until I hit the maximum score.
I got it at the end of the third room before the picture today i was soooooo happy
The target on the robot hand is gone
:( only worth 100 now.

I got it once before. the trick is to be on the ride whenever they have difficulties and have to stop the ride for five minutes 😂

This is one of my favorite rides, I was called a rebel once because I didn't shoot anything and had 0 points XD.
I have to thank you! I went from 150k to 720k. Within 6 rides I got the 999,999! Which is even more surprising because I was on it during peak hours during mickeys not so scary
I did this 3 days ago, 999,999 points, my second try I scored 813,500. Repeatedly hitting “Z” under Zurg’s ship and the volcano
I have really bad vertigo. How much does this ride actually spin?
Oh no--I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with that! I can imagine it would be very difficult to deal with especially at a theme park! In good news, Space Ranger Spin in WDW doesn't actually "spin" you (making it a somewhat ironic name choice) in the sense that it doesn't rotate you 360 degrees like the Teacups or anything. The ride cars do automatically move left to right on you as you're moving throughout the ride, and you can adjust and turn the ride vehicle yourself with the joystick. If you would like, you can spin 360 degrees with the joystick, but that is up to you, the rider, and not automatically part of the ride. I would say at most the automatic movements of the car are about 45 degrees one way or another. They can be a little jarring, but they're fairly minor and not constant.
There is one section of the ride where it might be best to take caution and at least close your eyes if you experience sensations of vertigo. This section is discussed starting at 6:07 in the video where I reference the dark room and the star tunnel. The projections in the tunnel can make you feel like it is spinning around you, and I have felt a little dizzy in the room myself. I've closed my eyes in this section more than once to combat it, and that worked out fine for me. Thankfully, there are very few targets in this room, and they're hard to hit anyway from poor projection quality so you aren't missing much if you close your eyes.

I went to Disney, tried to hit all the targets you mentioned. I think my aim was bad, I only hit one. What is the best way to improve my aim?
I am happy to say I got the sticker today in 2024 in march and got because my uncle was kind enough to give it to me and I am soooooo thankful I will thank him on thanksgiving this year remember this was 2024 march and I’m signing of buddys

I got galactic hero before without any tip videos but we never showed the cast members so I didn’t ever get a button. I am still sad about that to this day. My family and I thought it was so cool when it happened.
Universal’s Men in Black is definitely harder to max. Here, once you know the targets, seems hard to not max.
I'm Right handed so I always ride on RIGHT SIDE. My hubby is Left handed, so he likes the Left side. I am VERY COMPETITIVE
