Waiting on fuel is stupid. You should always fill up before a storm. Even if you forget you should never let your car sit on empty. I forgot but had 120 mile range left so simply went to Beaumont and filled up, bought ice and everything i needed. No line fights bull.
@@6Midnite6Raven6 I don’t think a lot of people realize how much gas is needed to run a generator. Even with the car full of gas, generator full, and extra gas containers full you STILL will run out in a couple of days. My generator lasted 8 hours on a full tank during the winter. I ran 2 heaters, fridge, and freezer. I had a large power station for air fryer, cellphones, and tablets. I could charge the power station in my suv if needed. Everybody had their individual power stations as well. Heck now I need to up my game and get an extra electrical box installed for a whole house generator 😂.
@@tamarar.4642 yep. generators drink fuel. we powered a big window ac unit, 2 fridges, tvs, and chargers. Spent 2 hours getting gas yesterday, even tho i had 15 gallons before Beryl hit.
Hold up. Are these people going to the gas station after the storm? What kind of stupidity is that? If the storm is over, why they all trying to go to the gas station all of a sudden?
According to AI, generators use a lot of gasoline. I didn't know that because I don't use generators. Is this why they rush to gas station in large numbers AFTER the storm?
@@Mr.Shannon.456 YES the more things you plug up to the generator the more gas it use and the less time it runs. Everything you use has a watt requirement. If you get a generator with 2,000-3,000 that’s NOT A LOT! Then when you buy a generator it’s not exactly 3,000 watts of useable power. I have a 5,000 watt. It ran my fridge, freezer, and 2 heaters for 8 hours. BUT the fridge was only plugged up 4 hours and freezer 2 hours. I had a 3,500 watt power station for cellphones, tablets, tv, internet box, and air fryer. The lights came back on before I ran out of gas in the generator . I had 60 gallons of extra gas stored just in case. You can’t leave gas in the generator to store it so I ran it out.
This is the new normal. Any kind of storm knocks half the city out. From hurricanes to a thunderstorm. Hell, a Whataburger fart knocks out a couple of grids My power has gone out 5 times for 24 hours or longer since January. Last year about 7-8 times. It’s a joke. The city is a joke. The local leaders are a joke. The governor is a joke. No matter what letter they have by their name. Jokes

There are deaths in most catastrophic hurricanes.....hurricans are devastating ....people die animals and property damage....sometimes floods drowning from these storms as well!@ people take this serious 😒

We had no power for 12 days back in 2008 after hurricane Ike hit Houston!!! If you are new to living in the gulf coast region, welcome to our world!
Why cant people understand, that everyone is affected .time to argue though..

Texans should evacuate where possible. When you live on a small Island in the Caribbean, there's nowhere to run.

Climate Change or God's holy 100 year flooding? I continue to hear both arguments. I'm going with A: Climate Change
Cloud seeding. Not climate change
