It's very funny to me when people say these videos make them nervous- I watch these to relax when I get stressed out & homesick!!
I will never understand those people that have to be in front of you at the traffic light although you did overtake them already once or twice.
Still nice to see that New York car drivers seem to be more aware of bikers than over here in my hometown in Germany where the traffic is much much much less compared to the size of 50 sq km to 789 sq km :D
I'm normally quite immersed whilst cycling along with these videos but I lost myself chasing the train across the bridge at the end... My legs thought it was real 😂
Love your videos! Like a tour bike. The vid Quality is amazing
I enjoyed watching but being from the uk maybe you can look up at the skyscrapers at the stop signs I want to see how high they go 👍
2:10 what a ridiculous, moronic design, allowing motor traffic to turn when the bicycle signal is green. That's how cyclists get killed.
Karma almost took out that lil green scooter for cutting you off on the turn
Geez that made me nervous!! Great video as always. Cheers from Scotland!
Thank you for following the traffic laws. Unfortunately there were cyclists, pedestrians, and vehicles that didn't do the same.
I’m a New Yorker, and I know how to act accordingly.
I didn’t realize you were also the bicycle compilations guy. I didn’t put 2 and 2 together. Walking vid and cycling vids! Nice!
Yup, that’s me!
I wish to record my ride when I got my bike tbh 😂 mainly because I wanted to showcase the kind of hell hole I've to traverse daily
some big drain covers in that cycle lane I can feel the bumps from here
Those idiots on the blue bikes didn't care about red lights. In fact many riders didn't care about red lights and it's these people who give us all a bad name.
This is cool , I am from Ottawa Canada and we have a bike path that runs through the whole city right beside the river .. and winter it's the longest skating rink in the world .. but iv always wanted to see and visit nyc, I am inspired I should do a video like this 👍..
You should! I would love to see it!
I thought car drivers were rude where I live. Cars have ruined New York City. The city would be so much nicer, safer, and quieter if there would be a dramatic decrease in cars.
It was very warm day, but you wear jeans. )) Nice bike run! Keep cycling.
Great trip through Manhattan!
Wow commuting by bicycle looks cool. By the way, how did you parked your bike after arriving at work? Are there some places to park your bicycles in NYC? I like riding bicycle and I'm planning to move in to NY; so, I'm wondering about parking system there.
The parking situation really depends on the employer. Some employers will allow you to bring your bike inside (which is best), but often times you will have to search for street parking or a parking garage to take your bike. It’s also very common to have your bicycle or other accessories stolen so a lock is highly recommended.
Can I ask you sir is the avengers 4 shooting in right there in new york?
I'm not sure. It likely is!
A Dominguez what???
Chardee MacDennis ohh really
22:30, how do you know which light to go by..it is very confusing. does the NYdmv handbook help in this situation. In NC bicycles are considered vehicles like cars and should follow the same rules..is it the same in NYC? oh and congrats on beating the train that was awesome
It’s a very confusing light cycle, the bicyclists are supposed to obey the bicycle traffic light here. Bicycles are considered vehicles in NYC but there are certain laws written for cyclists too.
@@ActionKid that's cool. thanks for your reply
I've never been to New York City, how would you rate the commute based on inclines?
It's great because most of NYC is at sea level. The only big exceptions are many areas of the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
GREAT AGAIN!!!! CHEERS FROM SEVILLA!!!!!
How much did you pay for the loud horn? I want to get one.
I paid $169 for my Loud Mini with anti theft bolts.
Looks like the cops give a flying ef about cyclists running the lights?
You’re totally right. And the farther away you are from Manhattan(but in city limits) they give less of a ef.
Seems like being close to a cab is pretty dangerous in any part of the world
Helmets are not compulsory in NY?
Only for younger riders
People wouldn’t mindanif they were anyways.
Honestly it shouldn't be a crime, if you're an adult and reckless about your own safety then you get what you deserve. You aren't hurting anyone else but yourself by not wearing a helmet.
If cyclist were hit by a car the helmet would do nothing
The city has so much activity, the New York ladies look so pretty, but the bike lanes are so worn down - it's a wonder anyone can get around.
Does ANYONE besides ACTIONKID obey traffic laws in NYC? 🚴
Yes
People on Citibikes have no excuse for ignoring lights.
So many people aren't wearing helmets!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Why do none of the other cyclists know bicycle laws?? You can't run a red light on a bicycle!
You don't want any smoke
Everyone in NYC ignores traffic laws and signals. You must be a tourist.
would bore the hell out of my going that slow
RIP jappa and weed
