If i had a really competent hairdresser (like hair buddha) doing it, i would absolutely do the blindfold/surprise cut & colour. Give them permission to do their thing & let them go for it, they're the experts for a reason after all.

I’m lucky to have a HB (watches these videos). I take my glasses off for cut/hilites and can’t see myself well in mirror I kind of do this every visit. 😂 I’ve let stylists do it blind. It’s fun but you have to trust. I let GF/artist do my makeup no mirror once and it was great. Trust. 😉
@@jmc8076 I've recently moved & haven't tried any hairdressers in my area yet but i hope i can find someone i can trust enough to do this with. Would be super fun i think. Just give them your absolute no-nos, like no buzz cut for example but anything else goes. Im jealous you've got your own HB coz im desperate to try this lol

There is no other hairdresser on here that I enjoy watching more than you. I love how you credit those who are so talented and even when they cuts colouring or styling isn’t so good you explain and your laugh is infectious. I have really long hair and in 2017 someone messed it up bad and had to have it cut around ear level to get it into a decent cut from being lower back length it took time but it’s all grown back only problem now is I’m shedding like my husky when he blows his winter coat 🙄 I’ve lost 50% off the bulk but luckily I had a awful lot of hair to start with. Hopefully one day it might thicken up a bit and if I ever got the chance I’d trust you with my hair your wonderful x

I had someone that should of loved me unconditionally take me to hairdresser multiple times to get hair thinned when I didn’t even have really thick hair. As a result my hair line all the way around is so high up. An I too had very long hair and wore it short for years and started growing it back 5 years ago now it’s down to my bum and still healthy I had a bit of thinning during chemo but it’s coming back strong! and has gotten some thickness back. An the person is extremely jealous and will try there hardest to convince me to keep nails extremely short and to cut all my hair off. They don’t have control over me anymore so they are even more angry but I don’t care anymore. An even if I did go short it wouldn’t bother me even if I was bald cause I’d make damn sure to rock whatever style I have!!! Never let toxic people and experiences keep you down!!! I’m sorry you went through this and I hope it no longer bothers you because that’s the best kind of karma! Is not letting bad people control how you feel!
Some of those were really artistic, not for me at age 50, but I can appreciate the hard work that goes into them, and I like them, especially when colour"s are done well they look beautiful 😍🌈

Those head painting techniques are amazing. I'd love to see one in person. My Mum used to curl her hair with beer cans back in the 70's, but her hair was waist length.

The girl at 8:45, my sister used to have her hair like that everyday in the mid 70s, she refused to leave the house if her hair didn't go the right way! I just brushed mine, stuck it in a pony tail and walked out.

I haven't had my hair done in far too long. After watching some of your videos I'm dang sure not trying to do radical things on my own. Nope.
I did that exact same thing when I was drunk one night. I got dropped off at my apartment, then, for unknown reasons, went into the bathroom and decided to cut my ass-lengthed, beautiful, wavy hair into a hideous bob! In the morning, I woke up not remembering, stumbled into the bathroom to go pee and suddenly noticed not feeling my hair falling down my back. I looked in the mirror in horror to what I had done and started crying! It took two years to grow it back!

I’ve had long hair before, but the last few years I’ve been keeping it short. I’m Now growing it out as long as I can do I can donate. I’m 28, last time I had long hair was in Highschool, but everybody loves my hair 😅

When I had an Instagram I followed one of the two ladies with ankle length hair. If I remember they were from Russia and took a lot of photos in really traditional style clothes. Their braids were forever long. Like they had no end!

We used to use orange juice cans as rollers in the 70s. We also dried our hair outside on the a/c fan for extra volume. Aqua Net ruled. 💖💕
HB You have to remember that back in the day they didn’t have all the things that they have now for doing hair. We did use cans for large curlers for long hair. They had straighteners but it was just as easy to use the clothes iron to straighten hair. There wasn’t even a curling iron as they are today unless you want to use the kind that are heated with the kerosene lamp or the stove.

My husband and I enjoy your videos. Your personality and laugh are infectious. I would be interested in some videos towards tips for shaving heads. My husband has black hair and balding and doesn’t seem to be able to get a really clean shave. It’s either a tiny bit of hair showing or a bloody scalp. He’s done his homework but clearly something is missing. 😢
