WHY was her idea like ... "I have some unwanted hairs on my head, I'm going to wax them!" And then not even look up how to wax. You have to cut the hair first, you never wax long hairs. Also, just shave them off?????? Tweezing them would also be more effective and less painful.
Not only that, it will grow back and look horrible.

She should of trimmed the hair more then waxed it off,her second mistake is its grip and rip,less pain if you do it fast,still hurts but isn't prolonged.

I remember bleaching and dyeing leopard spots on my high school sweetheart’s Mohawk, then some other kids saw how good it was, and came to get Mohawks cut or dyed. 10$ a pop for the people I didn’t know, free for my close friends. Most turned out pretty decent, I wish I’d gone to school for it..
I did a zebra stripe for a good friend before Burning Man one year. So much fun. It turned out great.

I had a childhood friend convince me she could cut bangs for me when we were in like 2nd grade. Bangs didn't turn out right so she just cut it off right at the hairline. I remember it taking the rest of elementary school to finally grow back. xD

Hahaha that last kid... My daughter saw my drivers licence and in the photo I had a fringe. She was fascinated and told me to cut another one.
The next day I hear her older sister yell "what have you done to your hair"... Yep my 5 year old cut herself a fringe that it it's shortest point was about 0.5cm long. The rest of her hair is down to her butt.
Very few things get an "Oh, that's beautiful!" from Hair Buddha.
When I was in 2nd grade, a day or 2 before school pics were scheduled, my sis talked me into letting her cut my hair to give me bangs. She is 2 years older than I. She had short and my hair was to the small of my back. When Mother got home from work to say she was displeased would be an extreme understatement. My sis had left so many obvious gaps that by the time Mother had evened my bangs I had around 1.5 inches of bangs. My other pics thru the years show me having the merriest of smiles. That year I had the tiniest half smile. Mona Lisa actually had a bigger smile than I lol.

Anyone else remember using an iron and baking paper to straighten thier hair before flat irons became popular. 😄
My mother told me about how people did this to their hair in the 60s and 70s. Mind you, she shared this memory with me in the late 80s and very early 90s when spiral perms, backcomb teasing, and Stiff Stuff hair spray were all the rage. The closest thing you could get to a flat iron was a crimping iron.
I thought flat irons existed since the 70s?
@@nibirue they've been around for years but they were expensive, and not that good, not like the ones we have today, so people used irons and baking paper instead of paying out for flat irons . The price is a lot more affordable now.

When using hard wax like that, you’re supposed to coat the skin with a product that goes with the wax so that it doesn’t stick to the skin.

When I was 4 or 5, my best friend, Cheri, and I played hair salon. This was not sanctioned by our parents. It was pretty ok when we cut each other's hair- we were taking only about a millimeter a day... but when we didn't get in trouble after doing this for 3 days we felt professional- we were ready to cut our own hair. We realized it was easier to cut what you can see, so we cut in the front- I had bangs, Cheri did not. I took about an inch off across about two inches. This was repaired with a VERY short pixie cut. Cheri had very coarse, dense, natural curls, and laid the scissors (dressmaking shears) against her scalp. On the diagonal. to about the middle of the top of her head. The scissors were sharp, they cut true. It took months for her hair to even out. We weren't allowed scissors for a long time after that. Seems fair now.

I remember when my son was 13 he got out my clippers that summer to buzz his hair off lol bless him. When I got home from work I had to fix the mess by buzzing it all the way off then he had to wear a cap and sun screen so he wouldn’t burn is white scalp.

Good news, Hair Buddha! I got my foils done today by my hairdresser!! They look wonderful. I've got very fine, grey hair and she did everything perfect for me. Good toning and a great cut ✂️ too 👍 Happy, happy me!!
I do get the first girl, I also have these useless whispy hairs that stick upright and never grow longer than 2/3inches. I detest them almost as much as my sideburns...

My mom always talks about ironing her hair in the 70s like the girl at 9:08.🤣🤣🤣
It took about six or seven years for the scars on my neck to finally fade after doing that for two years.
I had really thick really wavy hair but Cher had popularized long perfectly straight hair. About once a week my roommates and I would iron my hair. We kept the iron on fairly low heat. A straight iron probably would’ve been more damaging. But to get close with an iron to your scalp means you risk getting burned by the edge of the iron! 🫤
My roommate who had wavy hair as well would put her hair up into a ponytail and wrap her wet hair around a 1 pound coffee can. She then cut the rubber band and sleep like that. It actually worked for her because her hair wasn’t as curly as mine. But I think I would rather iron my hair than sleep with a coffee can on my head!

Girl, the slow grow-out method to get the black out of your hair and reveal that absolutely gorgeous silver is the right choice as far as I'm concerned. I wore a pixie all my life, so it was easy for me when I saw enough silver coming in to just grow it out. She will be absolutely beautiful with her natural color. Silver/white hair framing a young face is beautiful.

I don't understand why you'd use wax to remove bangs. As a kid, I'd pull out small chunks of my hair to prove something (what idk) to my friends. (I only did it like once lol.) But still, if you want to pull out hair, just grab a few hair strands at a time and go for it. Using wax means pulling of the skin and a whole lot of tiny fuzzies too.

The last video with the small child cutting her hair, reminds me of our youngest son. He had a cowlick on the crown and it would lay down, so he cut it off. Only he cut more than just a litter bit. Needless to say we had to shave his head…lol!

I used to think people who didn't have bangs had shaved them off... Of course I was only 6 years old at the time.
To all who don't know how it works, you don't just wax or shave off your bangs, you grow them out. Alright, now go get your cookies and milk, it's almost nap time. 😉
oh my god i thought the same thing at age 6. i tried to cut my bangs off. my mom made me wear a visor for months.
I once asked my hairdresser how to get rid of my bangs. I was convinced, thwy could just be cut of, too. 😂 She told me to grow it out. Looks Strange in the beginning, but that's how it works. When my daughter wanted to have her bangs gone, I told her the same thing. What did her father tell the hairdresser? To cut her almost outgrown bangs ... So it took a lot longer and the next time I told him NOT to cut the bangs like a hundred Times. That helped. 😂
I used to think that people are just born with them .... like the hair just grew that way. My mom always had one and i never saw her going to the hairstylist so i thought is natural

I kinda really liked the girl who wanted a green/black ombre. It ended up in colors of moss, which I'd personally have been totally happy with as I live in the Pacific NW of the US. Everything is covered in moss here and it's beautiful.

With these rainbow colorings I always wonder how you handle the regrowth...
I had rainbow and crazy colors for about 8 months. Destroyed my hair. Dyed it brown and am cutting little by little until all of the damage is gone. Just one persons experience lol. As for regrowth during, I just put new colors on after they faded. And bleached roots.
