    Happy Rising!
And happy 1 year in FFXIV!
    (Or near enough)
The Rising is very much a sentimental event, and beyond being a 'thank you' message to the players and fans, and an in-game celebration about recovering from tragedy, every year its themes are about picking yourself up after falling down, in both fiction and reality.
So I am sorry to hear that you've had a rough time lately, and hopefully you got some comfort of your own from this little celebration.
    To answer your other questions:
Ayoyo's Carbuncle earring is one that pops up occasionally as something you can get from the Moogle Tomestone event. So it's free, but it might be a while before it's available again, though.
The Wandering Minstrel is sort of Yoshi-P's alter ego in game (being modeled after him), and mostly acts as an NPC to unlock harder versions of content. With the premise being that he's exaggerating when recounting your previous fights for dramatic effect. Because of his origin, he shows up in a lot of seasonal events, and sometimes his dialogue brushes against the 4th wall just to be cheeky.
As for the minion, I'm not saying anything beyond how adorable it is.
Thanks for another great video, and sharing your journey with us. Take care 😊

This was fun to watch! I've (only?) been playing for a few years, but The Rising is maybe my favorite annual event. There's a vendor in Limsa Lominsa near where you picked up the quest who sells consumable items that do fun animations, like a bottle of champagne that you shake up and pop the cork (her model is a replica of what Minfilia looked like in 1.0).
In the unlikely event that you have time to kill and want an interesting look at the failed launch and shift to A Realm Reborn, the channel NoClip did a great 3 part documentary where they interview a lot of the core staff from the game.

Happy 1 year anniversary to the game! I know that the Rising was going on when you started (or very shortly after you started) so it's been roundabouts a year now. :)
I recommend watching the trailer for A Realm Reborn (the bit of the game you are currently in) for a bit more context on the Rising. The Calamity and Battle of Carteneau are shown in that trailer, and it would help to have a visual reminder of these events. (I'd recommend doing a short video reacting to it if you haven't viewed it yet - I think people would enjoy that, and it wouldn't require a lot of time.) The Coils of Bahamut questline will also heavily reference the events of the Calamity, Dalamud and the Battle of Carteneau. The game does drop exposition on all of these in the main story quest, but it is VERY EASY to forget all of it without context, which the game does not give.
As for the Rising itself, it celebrates the anniversary of ARR outside of the game, and it functions as a memorial day/tribute to the fallen in-game. It is DEFINITELY my favorite holiday in this world. The other holidays are dressed up versions of Christmas or Halloween and that's fine, but the Rising is something that feels part of Eorzea. I could listen to the Rising song all night long while looking to the starry sky.
If your game is struggling, it may have something to do with the new graphical update after Dawntrail. I have been having some problems since it updated - yes, it looks great, but my laptop occasionally catches on fire. Turning down some settings may help (although it hasn't done much for me).
The music playing at 18:29 (when you praise the music) is from the original version of FFXIV - I believe it was the theme of La Noscea (the region that Limsa is in) - and is only brought out for certain story moments. If you started in Limsa, this would have been the first music you heard in the game as you were on the boat. (Gridania and Ul'dah both used the 1.0 themes for their respective 1.0 zones for the start). The song is called "On Windy Meadows," if you wish to listen to it or buy the orchestrion roll.
Naoki Yoshida (aka Yoshi-P, you'll see both names) is the director of FFXIV - every Rising, he makes an appearance to thank the Warrior of Light.
I think the Rising moves around between cities. The last two were in Ul'dah, so I was surprised to find it in Limsa this year.
Great job on Ayoyo's voice, btw! I really like the top too. (I want to call it a yukata, but I don't think that's right. Whatever it is, it's pretty!)
May you see many more wonderful things on your travels, adventurer. *Waves farewell*

Oh i love it when people learn the wacky history of how we got the game we have now. I did this quest a while into the story i skipped it because my FC brought me into the game told me everything.
yes even the "what's final fantasy" bit

The rising is the celebration of the anniversary of the game and yes, it has a little to do with the complicated beginning of the game.
To make a quick summary/recap (since you already heard some of it), ff14 version 1.0 was bad. The game was interesting but it had a lot of technical problems. Naoki Yoshida, aka Yoshi-P (yes the guy from the cutscene), the current game director was brought in to save the project and made the insane bet of both making patches to keep the game alive and doing a remake.
In the end they teased a big event, mobs in the wild becoming more agressive and more dangerous for players, the moon getting bigger Majora's Mask style. Then one day as the server were shut down, players were shown a cutscene of a huge catastrophe, if you do the Bahamut questline (I recommend you do!) you'll see more of that. Every time the battle of cartenaux, the umbral calamity and bahamut are referenced it is that event.
And so the current game iteration was both a remake and a sequel set a few years after the almost world ending catastrophe. THis is what the event is about. In universe it is remembering the dead from taht seminal catastrophe, irl, it is the anniversary of the game being remade, A Realm Reborn.

The skirt and halter with the beaded necklance and grass hat are from the summer event a few years ago (during shb, iirc); a lot of outfits, emotes and other miscellany on the store now are from previous seasonal events whose rewards change every year. It's a way to get outfits you may have missed because you took a break or were around before you played, which is why they're usually a lot cheaper than the outfits and emotes that only come from the store (usually about 1/4 the price of those).
After 10 years of game updates, there's now a pretty hefty backlog of outfits and other miscellany from the varied events up on the store; it'd be nice if there were a way to acquire them in-game, but c'es la vie. At least if you ever happen to lose an outfit you got froma previous event, you can reacquire it from a clamity salvager in one of the 3 main cities (you can also acquire an extra set of them by those means if you wanna keep a set on you or something).
Also, the riding vendor always looks like Minfilia - specifically how she looked in 1.0.

This is my first Rising too!! (started last year when the first Fall Guys event drops)
Glad to see you enjoy the story of this event and hope you ready for more exciting things coming your way.
Even only just one year, it’s been a wonderful ride.
Also would love to see your reaction about ARR video if you haven’t seen it already.
Enjoy your time in Eorzea, that’s what matters the most!
Can’t wait for more future experiences you’ll share with us ❤

The event is always a highlight for me because the heartfelt messages of thanks from the developers conveyed through it always ring true to my ears, which is a rarity in todays gaming industry. It's easy to grow cynical when you look at all the greedy business practices going around that just consider games as a money-making business only. But I do believe when Naoki Yoshida says that he and his team really just want players to enjoy their time with the game, no matter how long or short that time may be.
It's also always an event worth looking out for when it comes to hints for future content ;) There wasn't much this time around from what I could catch, considering we just had a new expansion drop less than two months ago, but I remember two years ago at the event he showed a lineup of all the races in the game and said something about how "great change will come over this world soon". Sounded ominous back then, but now it's fairly obvious it was the then planned but not yet announced graphical update he was teasing.

You can get better performance if you change your settings so you only see other player's name tags when you click on them.

It is very funny you managed to get the second best bow off of the vendor. The best bow you can buy at level 50 is the Ironworks bow. It is very fancy as well.
