Only exception to "never ever roll a socket onto a weapon": If you still need the achievement to do exactly that :) More seriously, early weapons (especially while leveling) it can be worthwhile if you don't have a Gift to spare (or don't want to waste one on something you'll outlevel soon), since those gems can be a huge boost even if you have to sacrifice another stat for it, and you can recover the gem to use in its upgrade.
All of a sudden, my gear started to have bright numbers in front of the stats numbers. What are the numbers in parenthesis? Example: Strength 300 (270-350)
You definitely know what you're talking about. It may be a lot for some, but this is a game where READING IS NECESSARY, lol. If you don't understand this content, you just need to start thoroughly reading your weapons and equipment stats.
For a beginner this video isn't very helpful. There are too many specific terms and the pace is too high. In short: probably good for experienced players only.
