I just wish the Indian think tank in Australia is taking note of JK's analysis. I just hope they consider these inputs carefully especially the way the Kookaburra ball behaves now and it's impact on game outcomes. Else, India could be staring at another whitewash in Australia !
@pranshukrishna5105 Simply because India's batting line up lacks the resilience it had on previous tours to Australia thanks to Pujara and Rahane. Evidence of that was clearly visible when they crumbled at home ( of all places and to spin of all things - which Indian batsmen are traditionally thought to be good at playing) to a second string New Zealand side. It could have been avoided had Gambhir and co. been a little smarter with their tactics by not opting for pitches that were rank turners in Pune and Mumbai, something that made NZ's average spinners look like match winners !
One thing I will do is to either keep Prasidh Krishna or Harshit Rana in the 11 for every game. If Siraj doesn't provide the control with the ball, I will prefer Akash Deep over him. Batting order tactics are 50-50 calls to choose between players like Sarfraz and Eashwaran who performed exceptionally in domestic cricket in India vs Jurel, Padikkal, Rahul who look more technically sound for Australian conditions/performed in A games in Australia.

So what you're saying is - that unless something radically changes, when England are next in Australia, Shoaib Bashir and Gus Atkinson are going to be very important.
@UtkarshSingh-np6zo I don't know if he was the first, but he's the one I associate with it the most. Pakistan is known for fast bowling innovation, so I bet he learned it in the domestic scene.
Asif used it as early as 2006, Anderson learnt it from observing him in 2010 when Pakistan toured England and David Saker the bowling coach helped him master it.
To beat Australia any team has to do the same as what they has to do in India (in different context in conditions). 1) To beat Australia in Australia you need batter who can spend time in middle and adjust to bounce. In short ready to take some body blow and get up again. Now if you compare this to India where one has to take certain calculated risks as pitches (assuming raging turners) are quite different than Australia where you are provided with true bounce (no uneven ups and downs on day one). So simple tips for batters, bat well and bat long. Even if you look at history in this century there are 3 teams which were able to beat Australia in Australia in a series. They are England, South Africa and India (twice). Now if someone looks at the pattern you can clearly see that in all those teams they had batters who can bat deep. Even NZ came close to replicate an upset in Australia in 2015 (batting wise) and had they were also potent with ball who knew they might would have won. 2) Better fast bowlers, by fast bowlers I mean real good ones who can clock 140+ all day long and are also good with their planning. In 2010-11 Ashes Tremlet, Broad etc were the cheif tormenter, in 2012 Steyn, Morkel etc were and in 2018-19 Bumrah, Shami and Ishant's trio. 3) Patience: Australia can be graveyards for ones who try to impose themselves so much (blindly I say). At the same time if you are looking for survival just, you are putting yourself in danger again. So its better to have a mixture of attack and defence as according to situation. Apart from that, at times you need to be patient in terms of your planning while you are bowling. Many new bolwers gets so excited after landing in Australia by seeing bounce off the surface, that they get carried away by it and pitch either too short or too full only to be driven down by players like Warner, Smith, Head etc. Its important to pick your spots as bowles and keep bowling there and let pitch assist you. Also for fielders its important to maintain concentration considering unlike many countries cricket in Australia is played in scorching heat and big ampetheatre like stadiums, where its quite easy to lose yourself and lose your concentration and put down catches. Its very much important for opposition bowlers to make that new Kookabura cherry talk, otherwise their team will succumb to mountain of runs.
The worst part is India is under pressure to win for qualifying wtc. Aus can win Perth and try to have a couple of draws. And in that critical Perth test India is unlucky to have Rohit Gill absent
Rohit was being shit in India in 2 recent series and in SA and was always mid in Aus with 30 average. I mean we are only missing Gill as he loves true pace and got good record in Aus for his debut series.
My concern for India would be the lack of Shami and that Siraj was instrumental for them last time and he, like some of the Aussie bowlers, has seemed off-colour for a while. Although he may just prosper again because the conditions in Australia probably suit him better than the ones in India.
Hey could tell more about what exactly is wobble ball, how is it different from cross seam position? If you have done any other videos or write ups on this pl link them
The wobble ball is when the ball is held with index and fingers spread across the seam. This causes the ball to wobble in the air which will cause the ball to deviate either away from or into the batter. The bowler does not know what seam movement will occur, so it is impossible for the batters to know. This confusion causes batters to get out.
