Yeah, those newer packaged magnets look like garbage; thanks for the heads up. I was hoping that you would say something about the powered "knife" you used to open the clamshell packaging. Some info?
Do a review on the Craftsman Z-driver and Twin-Blade :D two of my favorite Craftsman items haha. Kobalt also makes an almost identical knife, except it has 3 blades (knife, serrated, razor) instead of 2 (knife/serrated, razor) like the Craftsman. You can get them for about $15 each and they are well worth it.
I'm glad I used the free magnet bars to replace the latches on my 72in tool box, these would have cost me 17$ plus tax. People like me might be the reason why there's no new free coupon for the magnet bar.
They look suspiciously similar to the ones you can buy at Lowes / Home Depot i did commercial Woodworking installation for 20 years and we always used magnets to locate metal studs Behind Drywall to anchor what we were installing without damaging the drywall of course the strongest most preferred magnets we like were Cow Belly Magnets but they were harder to find in Surburban areas those are very strong smooth cylinder stainless magnets farmers put inside a cows first belly to catch any metal they might ingest accidently and the magnet will prevent it from going through the animals digestive system and possibly cause tears that could cause bleeding or other issues for the animals health they happen to be high quality but in a pinch any magnet would work to locate metal studs so i would pick up the Home Depot or Lowes ones for convenience throughout the years as the farming community was a pretty good distance from where i lived and worked i was told that often in the old days cows would ingest small parts of barbed wire that would be in the grass they ate ? I’m a city boy so i never knew if that was entirely true although the guy that told me that was raised on a dairy Farm so i figured he knew what he was talking about
I am no longer a HF customer. The best place to get good magnets is out of old microwave ovens. Be wary of the ceramic beryllium piece that goes through the middle of the magnets though.
@@herbwag6456 The fan can be repurposed into a window fan. I mounted mine on a piece of plywood. Works good in the bathroom window so I can smoke in there.
Your Harbor Freight addiction has helped me choose some good items, avoid some bad ones, thanks!
Great review! I actually learned a bunch about magnets that I didn’t know from this video.
i love your quick and short reviews, keep at it man, also just wanted to say first comment and view.

Hey, could you tell me what tool you used to open the clamshell packaging in this video?
Using a 200 pound pull magnet, how close together are they before they pull or repel ?
I expected you to yell "TIME" at 3:08 !

Be wary how? Why? Please explain.

Beryllium causes an incurable form of cancer. Do NOT mess with, just get the magnets and throw out the ceramic piece.
@@upsidedowndog1256 Thanks, I have an old microwave in my junk pile.

@@upsidedowndog1256 Nice! What voltage are they? I use small 12 volt fans to move air in my off grid house.
Do u know the N rating for these?
They're not very strong not like rare earth magnets they're just like regular magnets
