I've played the game so many times that I left each planet till after the Leviathan on each playthrough just to see what changes when you know you're Revan. I was particularly interested in what would happen on Korriban since it's a world of Sith. I always appreciate when a game, particularly an RPG, accounts for your choices to that extent
I think game play wise you aren't supposed to go to Korriban until after Leviathan... At least for arbitrary cannon reasons. I always go in the order that's stated in the trailer Kashyyyk, Tatooine, Manaan, Korriban
You can tell folks you’re Revan on Korriban after leviathan, (I know that because thats usually always my next stop after it) but everyone just reacts with disbelief and thinks you’re joking
I have never once encountered this unique dialogue option and I kind of wonder if it's possible to bring Jolee with you after finishing Zahlbaar's family feud quest but leave out the star map until much much later.
It is. I did Zaalbar's quest to get it out of the way and leave the Star Map path relatively clear, but I left the map itself untouched until I got all the others.

@@Coonazz791 that’s okay buddy, I’ve played these games hundreds of times and this year on switch was the first time I realized that in Kotor 2 Nar Shadaa is the fastest option to build a lightsaber if you choose it first. The fact that 20 years later we are still as players having new experiences with these titles shows how classic they truly are
I rarely ever admitted I was Revan. I did it here the first time. I could only imagine the company with me started to stare at me with funny looks. I was hesitant to inquire any dialog from the characters until I left the planet.
I left Kashyyyk for last on my first playthrough. Mostly because it was a blind playthrough and i had no idea there was a jedi there. I think i poked my head in there for the side quests in the tree tops, but somehow skipped the fact i could go to the ground and left to get put on trial by fish people.
Interesting series you have here. I'm now actually interested to know how HK47 would react if you only meet him after Leviathan. I don't think I ever left him last in my playthroughs.

i did this on my second playthrough cause i thought it was the only way to bypass the dark side points on the test not knowing that there was a light side option. and that was when i was around 10
I would love for someone to make a mod that makes Revan fully aware of who he/she is from the start. Of course it wouldn't make sense from the start and there would be glaring plot holes, but seeing how all of the star map planets(except for Dantoinee of course) have a "last planet" version, it would be interesting to see a run with all of the planets(and the player) fully aware of who they are. again from a narrative perspective it would have a lot of problems but I also don't see myself going through the game in every iteration just to see how things would work out every time
I got this my first playthrough. I went to Tatooine first, then Manaan, so I got this cutscene after figuring out I was Revan already. I didn't even know there was a party member that I could recruit there, even though I was confused I had missed one for most of the game lol

I always left Korriban or Kashyyyk as the last star maps to find so I could either bully Uthar and/or Yuthura or access the rakatan computer like this.
I typically reveal to Yuthura that I'm Revan, then I redeem her to the light side after sparing her. She finally realizes that you ARE Revan, but that you've changed for the better. This gives her hope that she can too.
Oh yeah there's a few little things like this in this game and KOTOR 2. A few hidden bonuses and upgrades like if you go to a Manaan as your 3rd planet And beat Malik's apprentice his armor is useful and his lightsaber is better than the normal double bladed lightsaber, but ONLY if you DON'T change the color crystal it doesn't matter which red crystal but it must be a red crystal.
I got this dialog on my first play through, playing as dark side was so fun, especially at end when you kill off most of the light side party members, you can turn catgirl to your side at that point but if not you can always kill her, she’s annoying anyways
The computer's defense mode wasn't that hard. Take typical anti-droid precautions and you're fine. In fact I didn't bother trying the Dark Side answers until I actually did a Dark Side playthrough, which was my fifth or sixth time through (if memory serves).
I never cared for Jolee as his "threading th needle" of middle grey Jedi was so fine I found him annoying more then anything. Second playthrough I got this dialogue as I didn't get any to deal with him. Lol

I always have so many destroy droid force powers that by this point I reject the test to gain the light side points and then trash the bots in quick order for some easy xp.
I'm not sure what all the fuss is about lol. If you go the light side option, just make sure you've equipped Yusanis's brand before the fight (properly upgraded) and with it's anti-droid properties, you go ham on the droids. Even more so if you use your Knight (or Master, depending on when you take on the mission) speed, adding more attacks. Still, you will probably burn a few medpacs
What about LS Force power that allows you to disable droids? It's so OP, that at Max level you can destroy multiple droids with no damage practically instantly

Most ppl go: Tattoonie, Kayyshyyk, Maanan, and Korriban. I think most ppl can easily purchase the Yusanis Brand though. And speed is a universal power. Just a thought
Guy was a rolling stone with a high iq and a bunch of people trying ti take advantage of him. It's a bit weird but not totally unbelievable that he considered himself to be the most likely to betray him.
This is really interesting because it's the classic "Prisoner's Dilemma" game/experiment. In this case it's a doubly-embedded meta-reference, because while in this moment you're "playing" against Zaalbar as a one-off, there's also an iterative, deeper version of the game where you're looking for results over time, and Revan's story is exactly that - one big iterative version of the prisoner's dilemma, where the big picture is the struggle between Sith and Jedi and the results over time affect the entire galaxy. This gets pretty deep because although the results of short-term, one-off version of the game do favor betrayal (unless you have a deep level of trust with the other person, then you cooperate), the long-term results of the iterative version favor cooperation, something we figured out a long time ago with group efforts like building a wall around the village to keep out those rampaging womp rats or whatever. The difference between the Sith and Jedi are perfectly mirrored in the long-term dilemma outcomes - the Sith are all about the short-term and what they can personally get out of something, the Jedi think long-term, cooperating for the good of the galaxy as a whole over time. Because of this, the Jedi will always have an edge over the Sith. They really need to store the library archives in the cloud though, that way they don't lose centuries of teaching when they have to do a ba'slan shev'la for a couple decades after the occasional Sith victory.

You get another dialogue option if you beat the droids that attack you, ngl was using a cheated max character to do it so easier said than done but it basically says you were rescanned during the fight and do match after all and get access.
The questions the Rakatan computer asks are actually common game theory problems. Revan was described as a genius tactician as extremely smart in general. He most certainly would have known about the problem and what the correct unintuitive answer is (hence why he programmed the question into the computer). Even a lightside Revan would most likely give the correct answer. Revan was practical like that.
It’s a mod mate, they took the robe and mask model from the cutscenes that feature revan and added them to the game as an item, which is why you see his feet clip through the cape and it doesn’t flow like it should

Actually I think you can still recruit Jolee and then come back to that area later. But if you do that then you won’t have Zalbar for most of the game.
I’ve got Xbox One x enhance and I played all the way up to the leviathan level but when I go to the hanger to get the ebon hawk It bugs out in the loading screen and keeps me in the loading screen forever just won’t load can anyone help me
I’ve never played this game, but I have heard massive praise for it over the years, so I might pick it up and try it out. Is it still worth playing despite its age? How does it hold up now a days?
It's based on a DnD system where there are rolls behind the scenes in combat and adjusted for the character stats. Don't let that intimidate you if you have no experience with DnD, I played this game when it first came out and didn't play DnD till years later. It's story is fantastic and the old republic era holds some of the best characters written in star wars full stop. Not just video games. KOTOR 2 even surpasses the original but was mired in controversy at launch due to bugs and cut content because of the forced time frame EA pushed on the developer. All those concerns are now null and void since the restored content mod that is standard with most versions of the game. TL;DR Both games are definitely worth your time, and if you enjoy MMO'S then SWTOR is worth checking out as well.
Yeah, you can use a mod but I use a file editor to save time for different aspects of the game. The more I watch KOTOR 1 videos, the more I feel I’ve been overhyping Revan in my hand for no real reason. Actually, that’s not true. I realise now that Kreia was Revan’s hype machine in KOTOR 2 and he was much more in engaging (in terms of character, plot, etc.) in her tales of him during KOTOR 2 than he ever was in KOTOR 1 itself. Stop calling things like these rare. It is hardly rare. You always end up with one planet left to visit once you are known as revan. In the planet left (which ever that one may be) you will have some ''Revan'' related dialogue.
You only encounter it if you attempt to collect Kashyyk's Star Map after having collected the other pieces of the Star Map. Because you recruit Jolee Bindo on Kashyyk, it's inefficient to recruit him earlier without missing the encounter because of the amount of backtracking involved.

Me too. The robots were easy. The disable droid power tore them up. Kashhyak was my second planet, So revan wasn't even OP.

Went through this the light side way and figured out an easy way to cheese the defense droids, thought it used up a lot of medpacs unfortunately

you can do both you go to the planet do everything accept the star forge and you can take that old man with you doing everything else then coming back

Revan’s robes kind of sucked visually in KOTOR I. The stiff cape annoyed me no end. All I wanted was a black version of the Star Forge robes.

You only encounter it if you attempt to collect Kashyyk's Star Map after having collected the other pieces of the Star Map. Because you recruit Jolee Bindo on Kashyyk, it's inefficient to recruit him earlier without missing the encounter because of the amount of backtracking involved.

@@vasyear Finding out you're revan requires multiple star maps & only one left. So, most people don't save Kashyyyk for last.
Encountered this one many times... not really rare unless you've only played the game once or twice through but still a nice video 🥱👌
