I was doing some research on one of the stories I used to hear from my grand mother regarding gog and magog. Which goes as.
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him):
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Ya'juj and Ma'juj (Gog and Magog) dig through the barrier every day until they can almost see the rays of the sun. Then the one in charge of them says, 'Go back, and you will dig it tomorrow.' And Allah restores it and makes it stronger than it was. This will continue until their time comes and Allah wishes to send them forth. Then they will dig until they can see the rays of the sun, and the one in charge of them will say, 'Go back, and you will dig it tomorrow, In Shaa Allah (God willing).' This time he will say 'In Shaa Allah,' so they will return and find it as they left it, and they will dig through it and emerge to spread corruption on Earth."
I'm not sure if this is a sahi hadees. But this links well with the fact that the Khazar's converted to Judaism.

I was looking up dates as to when this happend.
Our prophet PBUH, lived in the 5th Century. And he said that there is a hole in the barrier built for gog and magog during his live time, which means this event happened in the 5th or 6th Century.

Now answer me, if Dhul Qarnain means two generations, and the people who asked about Dhul Qarnain (two generations) in Quran. Then why didn’t tell the story of two generation, why is God talking about a king (a person) and not referring dhul qarnain as people. Even if someone do not understand what Dhul Qarnain means, can clearly perceive it as a name for person.
Now the reason he is given this name because of Prophet Danial’s dream. It was a prophecy of Allah, and in the prophecy Allah don’t tell by name but because anyone can have that name if Prophet tell them. What Allah does is he talks about characteristics of that person and achievements. So that people of the book can recognize him. And people of the book (Jews) recognized him (Cyrus), he fulfilled all the prophecies mentioned in Old Testament. Even history books named him as the most righteous leader (the one who believes in respecting others and not believing in revenge and most forgiving king).
Was he a righteous, if you are judging him by today’s standards then nobody from the past fits as righteous. Every culture had different morality standards at their times and God do not judge people due to their different standards unless people are doing things which God has forbidden. For example, in Quran when the people of Lot AS came to rape the messengers, the Lot offered them to have intercourse with his daughter instead of men. One could argue, this is not right by today’s standards. Why would you allow g*ys to have intercourse with your own daughter, but if you look at the intension of the Prophet Lot, he did what he felt right at that time.
