This is the first time i have seen one of your videos and I think I have fallen in love!
In the past I have come across so many videos that are really just product placements for inks, stamps, stencils etc. The makers create work they are happy with but the to me they look faux rather than genuine. I knew it was not the direction I wanted to go but I had no idea how to move towards what I do want. I feel like you have opened up a whole new way of looking for me.
I'm an old woman who is just beginning to discover my creativity in retirement. Thank you. I know you are going to influence the next stage in my journey. You are a great creator and teacher.
Love you’re saying “The magic is in the mess! Had not heard that. I made a sign and put it up in the art room! Thanks for your wonderful ideas!
Well, if that's the case, my studio is magical indeed! : )
Love love love everything in this video❣️ Thank you sooooo much for sharing! I would love to see a finished project and how you used them!
Whoa! The way you look at the magazine pages sideways is just what I need to do. You're exactly right about our brains getting caught up with the "intended" picture! So glad I found your channel ❣️
Thank you! So glad you are here.
Turning it upside down completely is also a mind blower.
I have always been reluctant to use any magazine images due to copyright issues, but this opens up that option for me. i also love the weathered grungy look. Thank you!
This is truly fab. Oftentimes I come across interesting patterns in a magazine that I want to use but not exactly. I believe this is an excellent solution. Very inspiring!
You know how to think outside the box in the most wonderful way! Thanks for sharing your talent with the world! Blessings of love and light to all!🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💙🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💛🙏🏼💚🙏🏼
What a cool technique! Thanks for sharing your process. Steph

OMG, I could sit and watch you do this all day! Soooo inspirational!
This is so creative, I love how you're so loose and free in making these. Each one really is a piece of art in itself. Thank you. Blessings, B.
SO interesting! I love the way the pages look when you're finished. Thanks for all the ideas.
this is a brilliant way of making beautiful and interesting magazine snippets "our own" to integrate them smoothly into our art or junk journaling - by getting rid of their glossiness and transforming them into grungy unique pieces of art. i loooove that.
thanks so much for sharing! got a ton of magazine images i started to collect when i was a teen and couldn't quite make them work in combination with the more vintage related styles i tend to lean to in my paper-projects ...
now there's a bright (or rather grungy) future lying ahead of them; )
Wow. Very interesting process.
❤TFS! I Learned several new techniques from this video!

I just did my first experiment with your process. However, I could not get out to get plaster of Paris. So I used molding paste. I love this process. Thanks for a great turtorial.

This is so amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your process!
Great idea
I loved this Aimee - for a long time I’ve wondered how I can use glossy magazine images & your method is perfect. Thanks for your generous sharing.
You are definitely my go to girl for all things collage! Loved this process! I never thought of using stencils as a sanding relief, or combining magazine pages, brilliant! I have however used texture plates under my photos for a similar cool effect! Too fun Aimee! Thanx for sharing!
Oh my goodness thank you! It makes me so happy to hear this!
Seems that you've come up with a new cool way to collage; involving using other peoples art to create new pieces. I guess a lot of the process is about making the piece look more uniform and includes integrating the different parts together using scraping, glazing etc. Just like collaging. And repurposing old magazines, materials is great. And we normally toss out all kinds of printed material that could be used as well, ads and brochures etc that sometimes have cool art.
Thank you for sharing this idea. Love it.
I have never seen anything like this! Hoping to give it a try. Thank you !
Fabulous, thanks for sharing!

I would love to see what you create! 😍
Impressionistic ❤️
Interesting. Thanks. Blessings.
amazing
After watching this I subscribe to your channel. I have just started doing a stencil with sandpaper, love this look💞
This would be such a great way to relax and get rid of any anxiety or stress etc. Im just curious what you do with your finished pieces? Do you use them to create other things or leave them as they are, like a finished painting? If you know what i mean....
Love this , inspiring, thank you ❤
This is very interesting. I have everything to do This. Thanks for sharing.
This tutorial is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I’m wondering how to stop the nat geo image from further processing from the citri solv….do you wipe it down with something to stop the chemical reaction at the point you like?
Great technique with your touch turns out so so Amazing. Love all work. Do you have any online courses or tutorials. Thanks for being so inspiring!! and for sharing. 🥰
Love it!!❤❤
Lovely!
I'd love to see what you made with these papers.
Thanks so much - loved the techniques! I'm a newbie to all this stuff; you probably already answered this in other videos, but I'm wondering why you use the plaster of Paris mixed in with gesso and matte medium? Does the coffee stain not get soaked up enough if it's just gesso ? And why espresso baking powder? Why not just instant coffee dissolved in water?
Interesting!
I love this! I was thinking that it might be quicker and easier to use a large stick glue, rather than picking up the gel medium jar and the brush, and squiggling the brush around, then returning the brush to the jar or the palette, then moving the paper around seems like the hard way to do it. See what I mean at Roxy Creations channel on You Tube. Unless the Matt Medium is really needed for some reason. I really like your approach and the effects your getting. Bravo!
I love this!!!
I really enjoyed your process. How large do you make your pages ? Do you have a video on how you use your pages?
Wow just when I thought I have tried it all lolol this is AWESOME I have never seen this before!! Where did you get espresso stuff and the India ink?? I truly loved this 💗 first time on your page 💗 I will be back!!
Amei ❤
Never heard of putting stencil behind work?? Explain? ❤ just found you!
That magazine looks amazing! Is the paper like flow? Or more like stampington?
I just ran across this wonderful video that you made a couple of years ago and I’m wondering if instead of making up that plaster that you use, couldn’t I use modeling paste instead?
Yes, absolutely
❤❤❤❤
These are cool but what do you do with them
Hello, can you show how you would use these on a journal? Please 🙏🏽
Which stencil girl stencil did you use, the floral one? Your link just goes to their website. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this share❤️ love that stencil- do you remember where you got it?
Hi yes it’s from American Crafts Dear Lizzy line. I purchased it on Amazon 2 or 3 years ago. American Crafts Dear Lizzy Serendipity Stencil www.amazon.com/dp/B00PN74NBC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_K3I-FbCQ31S3X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
7 course meal w/ hors d'oeuvres, dessert, cognac.& cigars...
👏👏👏👍🥰
WHERE ARE YOU? Do you not make videos anymore?
Can you use texture paste?
Can you use mod podge instead of the matte medium to glue the magazine pieces together ?
Yes for sure mid podge works.
