Hi Henry, I love using Astrolog. Mr. W Pullen is very helpful too :-). I have the idea that if we could just get a live data feed into Astrolog it would revolutionize our studies! Could you imagine? Maybe one day.
Thankyou so much for the basic info on saving settings. I'd just about given up. I really need more though theres nothing I can find that tells you how to use the switches in the documentation . I.E. where to put them. I've managed to calculate a jupiter centered chart but dont know how to display jupiter's moons. The planetary moons were the 1st reason I installed Astrolog. In the documentation it gives the switch as -Ym. Ok but where do I put that . Do I add it to a file. I.E. the astrolog.as. If so where?? Im longing to look at The moons of saturn Uranus jupiter & Pluto but sadly stuck in stupid mud.
all your settings are not lost, you can save your chart under FILE option (in upper left corner) and rename it, when you bring program back up you have to open that saved file. The only thing that you have to change is color setting from blue to cyan and degrees.
Thank you for teaching us how to customize the file for the chart info. I've been looking for how to do that for quite some time. can you please make a tutorial to show how to make composite charts and even get reports on them? Maybe even how to show transits on composite charts?
Hello! I have used for many years Astrolog 32 and I have now a lot of charts. I feel comfortable with this astrological program, but I wish to change to a newer version. Is it possible to move all my charts from Astrolog 32 to Astrolog 6 40(7 1)? Thank you !
While adding the location what we should put log/ lat or gps coordinates i tried both and they are slightly different when comes to planet position so which one to follow ?
There are 2 different kind of latitude and longitude coordinates. Locations on the earth would be the GPS coordinates. You set that in the chart info. (be mindfull: some GPSs/Google earth give them in decimal degrees. Astrolog uses degrees/minutes by default.) The other are sky/heavenly positions in the zodiacal or ecliptic (= orbitplane of the sun and earth) reference frame. There is no point in entering the latter into the chart info. That makes no sense.
hello and thanks for the video share. I am new and I cannot find where to insert all data to calculate a new chart. Can you help me regarding? Thank you
Thanks for the vedio....I downloaded Astrolog 7.10. Seems like short cut keys to navigate hours, minutes and sceonds are not working in it. Please help in resolving the same
How to go forward and backward to see any past date or future date what key you typed please suggest because I want to see special events of past regarding retrograde planets
to change the font size on the right hand side you don't need to go into the code, you can hit GRAPHICS and GRAPHICS SETTINGS, then change character and text setting , third line from bottom on left hand side !!!! ;)
Not sure why this happens with Astrolog 6.40. If you change from >Disply Format 360 Degrees to Zodiac Position your Longitude and Latitude will change slightly. Example 74 deg 22 min W and 40 deg 43 min N will change to 74 deg 13 min W and 40 deg 25 min N
The difference you are seeing is due to the conversion from degrees and minutes in the Zodiac position, to degrees and decimals in the 360 Degrees. It's still the same thing just measured differently.
Taking your example and converting minutes of degrees to fractions and decimals: Example 74.22 deg W and 40.43 deg N will be equivalent to 74 13/60 deg W and 40 25/60 deg N (give or take rounding off)
You took the words right outta my mouth. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks a lot Henry... so nice of you to upload this tutorial.. has helped a lot.. may God bless you.. take care...

I have no connection to the software other than I use it in the videos I make. You will have to contact the people who made the program for support.
One question, do I have to set my living location or the location of the stock market that I am trading on?
If you are using it for yourself, then your living location. If you are using it for something you are trading, then the location of that exchange.
How do you run a basic chart reading?
