Might I suggest that your little 009 scale park loco should be running at around a quarter of the speed that you have it running in order to truly replicate a little park tourist miniature railway? Hopefully, a constructive criticism because it is wonderful to be able to return to Lakeside. Stay well mate!

Nice running of the Class 92s. I have one of the Class 92s. I was just wondering if you had glued the NEM pocket? It looks like I will have to do it as mine keeps falling out. Secondly I was wondering how easy you found taking the body off? I want to fit a couple of drivers but have been weary of taking the body off.
Hi Tim. Yes I had to glue a couple of them on, they were a right pain kept falling out. I used 4 pieces of card up the sides to get the bode off but getting the cab interior out is a bit tricky. Using finger and thump on each side whilst using a small screw driver to slide the interior back. this did cause a side panel to come off. Have fun. All the best. Mick

Great update! I didn’t order the TPE Mk5s as slightly too late for me but now I’ve seen them on yours plus a few others on TH-cam I wish I had done now! Hoping for a second run of them soon. How have they been performance wise?
Thanks for your comment. Yes the TPE are excellent but the lighting could have been better. I only had a problem with It being pushed over double slip points but I think that's down to the coupling from Loco to first coach. Can be fixed. All the best. Mick

Hi Tim. I make the loads. The blast in these is just put in but on the Dapol Nuj's I have used PVA to stick them in and the Talbot wagon's are filled with dried Tea leaves.

Great to see you and the layout back Mick, it's been a while! I hope the house extension is going well and the Kio Carp are doing fine too in their new pool, as you explained you plans and intentions in a pervious episode. I had to return all three of my Accurascale Class 92s as they developed running issues after a couple of hours of use, so keep a check on them. (Watch Eugene's EuviRail TH-cam channel's review of the Accurascale class 92 which gives details. ...And read the comments associated; I and others have written problems, details and experiences on there.) As for the Dapol 59, it can pull 46 large hoppers as you can witness on my YT channel video of it.. I have 22 of the Dapol JHA hopper wagons and it pulls them easily! In my video I hook them up with a similar amount of HHAs and PTAs for a mega rake test! It passes! All the Best, regards Julian
Hi Julian. Yes I did have to return the DB Schenker one as when I pressed the horn the loco cut out, other than that all are running fine at the moment. @@michaelsmith-hn1cn Yes there is definitely some problems lurking within the 92s so do monitor them, especially for intermittent random speed changes and slowing The Dapol JHAs are heavy but really free running and the 59 coped well. They are available from around £33 from various retailers at the moment. My rake of 46 heavy hoppers is mid way through my video number 10, showing the ARC class 59. The rakes of containers do seem to drag much more with their small wheels. I have the Bachmann intermodals and all the locos struggle badly with 16 (8 twin packs ) of those. Regards Julian

I must admit, I wouldn't fancy sitting on a bench in a wooden wagon travelling at at scale speed of about 125 MPH. :)
