I begged my parents for this when I was little. I played with it a few times. It's just a fluffy cotton worm on a string. He's just really experienced with it to the point where he makes it look like magic.

They’d show this at the mall but never explain the string part before you bought it. So when you went home as a kid and opened yours, you wondered why the worm was dead 😂
When I was a kid there was a store that had a shelf full these things, and mounted on the top of the shelf was a TV that replayed clips of this toy in action, but didn't explain how it worked. I wanted one so bad. The cashier explain to me and my grandmother that that toy does not move on its own, and that it uses a hidden string. She said this to us because she was tired of all the complaining parents that had cane back to the store claiming false advertisement.

Embarrassing childhood story:
I went to Vegas once as a kid with my family and we did one of the only things that kids could do their is circus circus. When we got there we were walking around looking at the little shops around before you reach the adventure dome. There usually is little knick knacks that they sell to catch a child’s attention. Well they did. I come across a little cart that’s selling these inside the little shopping mall that they have there. I was immediately mesmerized. I was one of those kids that always wanted a dog or even cat and this for some reason seemed like it was going to fill that gap for me. My family didn’t end up getting it for me and I was so bummed out the entire trip. I mean it was crazy, I remember lucid dreams about him getting on my shoulder while I eat, or cuddling up with me when I would go to sleep. This thing haunted me with companionship. Eventual my family caught on on how sad I was. They thought it was dumb because they knew the gimmick but as a young kid I didn’t believe them. I thought that thing was really alive. So we went, back to the guy that sold all the wormies is what I would call them. I had already in my head that that’s what I was going to call my new found pet. I was ready to give my world to this damn worm. We get back to the cart eventually with the same guy that’s selling the worms and my mom goes up and asks for one. STILL this guy was really playing me telling me that I was going to have a blast and showing me all the cool tricks he taught his worm; little did I know I was going to fall face first into heartbreak. I get my worm, FINALLY I GOT MY WORM. I was so excited to open the package and for it to come alive and right away climb on my shoulder. I slowly tear open the package building tension for myself as I was just about to have a new lifetime friend. And as soon as the packaging lets free my new friend, it flops onto the ground. I was so confused, in denial. I genuinely thought that wretched man sold me a dead worm. I kept telling my family we needed to go back I needed my friend. My family, with all their patience in the world, told me the heartbreaking news that the worm isn’t real. Since it was on the floor I didn’t see the string attached to it as it was clear fishing line, but it had a little piece of cardboard attached to it at the end so you can control it and as soon as I realized that I have been tricked I was not only upset, but HEARTBROKEN. The entire rest of the trip it looked like I had just lost a dear friend to me, my Wormie. The rest of the trip felt numbing to me. Nothing would excite me, not the roller coaster, not the stupid worm vendor or should I say trickster, and the delicious tacos from that one taco spot. I was broken. Fast forward till today, I’m 21 years old, in college as a PSYCHOLOGY MAJOR, and finally got myself my lifelong friend. This worm story I see now gave me depression as a kid, gave me trust issues, and ptsd every time I saw a street vendor selling “magic,” it would make me sad. Now that I’m a little more grown I obviously know the world a little better. And I do like magic, but man what a ride that was.

It’s crazy how something like the attachment to something when you’re a kid can really break your heart😂I lost my teddy called Jack and I cried and cried for days he had fallen down the back of the sofa and I was so happy and complete to have him back! I also had a thing for tags you know the label on them?
