For anyone who may be interested, this great lecture reminds me that regenerative agriculture and "food forest" permaculture is foundationally focused upon undoing the damage upon the planet and people that comes from fixed field monoculture. Foraging and agriculture can be compatible when regenerative practices and collective effort [are] applied.
There are more than three staple grains, and there are other staple starches and seeds that are not grains. What about rye, barley, sorghum, amaranth, oats, buckwheat, quinoa, millet, teff, potatoes, plantains, taro, bread fruit, cassava, and beans/lentils? I have probably even missed a few. These are all staples in some parts of the world.

he uses the word "Domus" a lot... what word is that? Domus? domas? something else? anyone know?!?
my guess was that he uses roman term for house to refer to any kind of permanent local aggregation of humans
