I spent the last couple of hours listening to this while doing some reading. After that lengthy background session, here are my thoughts: The drums start off from the start with a hypnotic, almost hectic beat, luring me into the rhythm that then gets amplified by the chanting choir of heavenly voices. Then some more elements start to come in, filling the space and turning it into more of a living, roiling beast coming to life, and then the vocals open up while the music cuts away. The perfect awakening with such an amazing buildup that flows into one hell of a drop. The beat melds together with that growling music into one angry monster more than ready to consume. The parts that cut to silence really add to the wrongness of the atmosphere here, building on that unease that gets my skin crawling and my mind working. This is one creepy song, with a beast of a drop and some of the most haunting and beautiful buildups that I've heard in quite some time. The distortion on the vocals really adds to the dark theme going on here, and to the unholy twisting of those choirs. From a heavenly buildup to a nearly melancholic chanting of finality, this song rooted itself deep inside of me, and now flows in the back of my head, like some kind of tick. Great song to listen to as background music.
